Needs to be seen by all Americans so that they can understand current events. Our mass media is not covering issues in depth like this and I think it's important to understand just how out of control things have become in Mexico.

Just knowing my dad is from here, seeing how he fled to America to give me and my family a better chance at life and success, I'm grateful for what my dad does for us to be safe and well

I'm flying out to Michoacan tomorrow to visit my grandfather. He's not doing well after my grandmother passed a few weeks back. He wants to see me, and I can't say no to him. Wish us luck, folks. Update: I'm stateside again. Saw two dead men on the first day, but once we got to my grandfather's place, it was surprisingly quiet. Tacos were phenomenal, that stand down the block was even better than I remember. Overall trip was a strong 7/10. Thank you to everyone for your well wishes and advice, I was sincerely not expecting so much support. Be well, be safe.

one of the many reasons I haven't stepped foot in mexico in 20 yrs...I'll never visit this country again....even on a flight layover. I just feel for the poor people subjected to this...what a tragedy.

My father and his Town had to create a defense force against the cartels in Guerrero . All to protect the Mango farms and village live stock. This is life.

The pain these bad men has caused is generational. I hope one the entirety of Mexico can be set free from this unnecessary violence
