Nutramigen wasn't easy to find to begin with. Also very expensive. To the people saying what did we do before formula.... We had sickly suffering babies that could have died. My preemie son was born with lactose intolerance and reflux. He was hospitalized more than once to prevent dehydration as the doctor kept switching his formula to try to stop the vomiting and weight loss. Nutramigen was the only one that worked.

My question is why aren't the other brands stepping up their stock, to help with shortage, find the chemical compound in formula that causes contamination , and remove said contaminate. Something feels odd about all these shortage and truth is hard to see. We can't possibly get all our raw materials and food from Russia and Ukraine, so why the increase? When you take manufacturing and crops out of countries, you get this problem, relying on others. Bring companies back, provide jobs, increase in spending, decrease crime. People need to work and still be able to live in comfort with choices . We find too many needing to choose between eating or paying rent. Companies need to stop being so greedy.

I was in Washington a few weeks ago. I was born there. When I saw four layers of gates around the White House I thought to myself, "Who are they trying to keep out? Then I thought, "It is US they are trying to keep out!" It was jaw-dropping. Now to hear there is a baby formula shortage, and I am going to be a grandmother soon, I thought, "We don't have friends in the White House." They could do something about this!

Find a mother who is giving milk. I read that goat’s milk isn’t recommended for newborns. We need to look after each other more than ever guys!

Breastfeeding is best, but most moms can’t breast feed due to lack of lactating, or illness that prevents them from breastfeeding. I feel bad for the parents running to the stores to find empty shelves. Not every baby can drink a different formula.

All these "shortages" don't even make SENSE.

This is what happens when we have market consolidation, if one player does a recall like in this case. Its the consumers who are on the receiving end, having to scramble to find alternatives

Yeah, I am sure this shortage isn't a sign of more shortages to come.

My daughter is on nutramigen I haven't been able to find it for months i have to get the hypoallergenic the off brand formula takes a while to break down in the bottle im so happy she will be off formula soon I get anxiety when its time to look for formula again She's 10 mons and her doctor is already telling me to let her start getting use to whole milk ,no more kids for me.

One would think that Peterless Butterjuggs of all people would be concerned over the formula shortage or can he really lactate like he’s mentioned before ???

I have a 6 month old baby and he’s sensitive to lactose so he has to have sensitivity formula. I am having to buy his formula on eBay and unfortunately people are selling it for 4x the amount of what it is in the store originally. I’m grateful to be able to afford to pay for it but there are a lot of moms out there that could barely afford it at store price. This has been the most stressful time of my life trying to find formula for my baby 😩

I've notice that this new similac advance product is from ireland, with a new label and everything. I'm glad my baby is 10months and won't drink anymore baby formula.

Some Walmart stores have had limits on baby formula for years. They told us people were using it for illegal street drugs.

“I don’t know about you, but if I am a mother anywhere, anytime in America, and I go to my local Walmart or Target or Publix or Safeway or Kroger or wherever it may be that you shop and you are seeing their shelves and you are seeing signs that you are not able to get baby formula,” Cammack said. “And then you see the American government sending, by the pallet, thousands and thousands of containers of baby formula to the border, that would make my blood boil.”
