Norway has one of the longest and most beautiful coastlines in the world. On a bike, It's a long journey from Bergen to Lofoten or Tromsø to Kirkenes. Using Norway's famous Coastal Express Service is the ideal way to skip sections so you can cycle the most appealing parts. In this video, I'll show you what it's like to spend 24 hours on board and how practical the journey is for cyclists.

This might be the best "please subscribe" request I've seen on Youtube.

Matthew, you are simply amazing. I think it is time that we Norwegians give you a Norwegian passport and make you an honorary citizen of our country. I am so incredibly impressed by what you are doing for Norway.

You have my husband and I in tears! We love Norway. We’ve been on a few of the Hurtigruten as port guests in Ålesund. And a few years back, when staying in Tromsø we went as foot passengers to Lofoton. Walked the decks all night as it was so magical!

We took the ship from Bergen to Stamsund 4 years ago. Rented a car and toured the Lofoten Islands then took the bus to Narvik, and train to Stockhom. Very memorable trip!

Matthew, Great Video as always.❤ Can’t wait for next season and engaging in your community. I’ve noticed that the music that you have put on top of the voice is a bit too loud from time to time. I’d recommend to check the mixing on a variety of speaker.

I did 2 seasons working on cruise ships on Norway (MSC Cruises). Indeed the most amazing coastline! Not to mention the Svalbard Islands. It was during the summer, so no Northern Lights, but a lot of Midnight Sun. Favourite port? Well, not really the port, but the entry from the sea to Tromso. Spectacular lights! I discovered Hurtigruten few years ago, and really dreaming to do once a full cruise up and down. Not that cheap, though 🙂

A lovely video. Many thanks. I would say my favourite port is Trondheim. It has a lovely feel and the cathedral is a must see. Tromsø is lovely, although having Storgata being rebuilt when we were last there didn't help our visit. I also get the impression that it looks most magical in the winter with everything covered in snow. It was always lovely to see the Hurtigruten ships with their distinctive red and white colours.
