Repairs To The Recovery Trailer

Published 2024-08-06
After breaking a spindle on the recovery trailer we decided to repair and upgrade it. We stepped up to a larger spindle and went to 6 lug hubs. We installed the potential for electric brakes, but we may never hook them up. Still undecided on that. Then of course right after we got it fixed we had to go rescue a giant SxS from Porcupine Rim Trail. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting us.

Rory in my opinion the improvements to the trailer really helped. I really enjoyed the old school recovery where it is just you and the camera. You guys are the best at what you do

Should done the trailer flip while wearing your " I Hate Casey LaDelle" t-shirt. That poor old trailer deserves the repairs you did. It has worked well for as long as I've been watching. Nice recovery on the 4 wheeler. Thanks for taking us along.

Rory watching you flip the trailer reminded me of a story I heard as a younger man. There was a big Swede who uprighted a locomotive out in the woods. In the old days when logging was done by steam donkeys. Some how the train fell of the track and the Big Swede started hooking the rigging up. Every cable that lifted or pulled the engine was called a Luff. The engine was a logging tool so it was smaller than average and narrow gage. The Big Swede in one swoop, lifted, pulled and placed the engine on the track. Word

13:50 THANK YOU RORY! For taking the time to STOP, set the brakes, get out walk to where you know to put the camera, put the camera down, walk back to rig and slowly drive through the area past the camera, STOP, set the brakes, get out walk and pick it back up all for US. Why I come back and watch.!!! Thanks for all of us worldwide that will never make it to Moab in our lifetime. 🎉

  • @PHARSiD3
I've been waiting for this all day. Now I can watch before bedtime.
  • I can't believe the work and the filming you di. Stopped in a couple weeks ago, you weren't there. Sorry I missed you. Hope you liked the compass charm. Justin Neverlost overland.
  • It amazes me that you got that amount of time on the off road trailer with the terrain it goes on. The sign of being aware you have a trailer behind you and the different loads put on it. let's see if you can get more than the 5ish years it had before the upgrade. Thanks for taking us along on all your recoveries, shenanigans and your insights.
