    Reel skin is the best(IMHO) it is just thick enough(and stretchable), if you see your work on the back, it's too deep... Also, the thing that helps me the most is not practicing flat. That is just drawing with a machine. No body part is flat. Roll up cardboard, make "body part" shapes. I even hang my skins on a round tube covered in leather on a board straight up, to mimic a back. Also training your other hand to stretch. Tattooing mindset, if you want to draw, get a sketchpad.
