Also yes Japan celebrates Valentine’s Day, although it’s different than here in the US, in Japan it’s split into two holidays, Valentine’s Day is on February 14th and is for women to give chocolate, either romantic chocolate or friendship/obligation chocolate. 1 month later is White Day, where men give chocolate, usually to reciprocate the chocolate that they were given on Valentine’s Day. This is just a basic rundown that I’ve picked up from various anime, there are probably plenty of nuances that I don’t know about.
