Published 2024-05-10

Scraping by with what little resources you can muster before eventually going on to become the hyper-violent equivalent of Robinson Crusoe. That’s exactly what the best survival games do: make you feel like the ruler of your own cultivated kingdom. And we've compiled 20 of the best.

You really hit us with the Robert Baratheon POV at the start of number 15.

I dont fully understand why there is not more coming out of Green Hell. I found the Survival Mechanics so fulfilling in this game. Here and there a little tweeking of the mechanics, a new (and bigger) map and a new story on it and I would buy it again

Valheim is worth a try its very atmospheric and great base builder type you can play it many ways.

Project Zomboid always makes me think of the board game Zombicide. I really need to play that again.

Great video green hell looks fun, I love palworld, terraria and minecraft. Dont starve was fun but i never got far! Ark was okay until someone came and destroyed my base and killed me and the family of bears I'd been breeding multiple times! Great video 😊

32k GANG! Darkwood was my absolute FAVORITE. Im a huge horror fan, and Darkwood had a dark, oppressive, and forboding atmosphere! Anyways, love your videos.

32k gang. I would have placed Valheim in much higher. I also would have included 7 Days to Die.

I played all survival games, all these are good. But noone never mention night of the dead. An amazing survival game.
  • You have 7 days to die in the video but you didn't include it on top 20.. it should be top 1 7D2D
  • @pharmcat8484
I’m just going to say it. The Sims should have made the list.

Was that old Apple ][ game, Wizardy, be considered a survival game? After all, when you died, you were dead and had to start all over.
