The title is a play on words also in south Slavic languages - because we say "papa", or even more commonly "pa-pa" to say "Goodbye". So, being that a song dedicated to his deceased "dad", it's symbolic that Joost is saying "pa-pa" to his "papa". And yeah, this song is a serious banger! I would be very proud if this wins Eurovision; the only song I would be satisfied with that potentially beat my country's representative, Baby Lasagna! Much love from Istria to You all!

sinds ik Europapa hoorde , draai ik het iedere dag als 71 jarige vrouw. Ik wordt er zo happy van. Vindt het geweldig muziek en text. Ik ben zo trots op jou Joost. wat je bereikt heb. If you are going to win jury votes, you must find a way to add the very touching ending from the official video to your live performance! I don't think people realize how epic this will be in Malmö, with all those "Hey"s coming from the crowd, visuals, energy and show in general. This will win the public vote easily, hopefully juries will keep it in top 5-7 at least before the public vote
