Anyone damaging national parks needs to be banned from national parks permanently in addition to a hefty fine & prison time.

Destroying the historic places should have a minimum 5 year sentence.

You know that father is setting a bad example for his kid when he destroys property in a national park.

My kids still say, after 50 yrs that our family trip to those beautiful parks were the most memorable ever. Hope you can punish the vandals.

Sad to think that there are so many people who need to destroy…instead of protect…people don’t realize that is a ‘mindset,’ and shows how little value is placed on anything!

17:39 1 year of probation for destroying something that belongs to over 300 million people? That’s ludicrous. Five years in jail would have been more appropriate. This is SICK.

Any person vandalizing or destroying National Park property should be arrested and fined $20,000 a day and sentenced to 30 years in prison.

People that damage anything intentionally should be fined and sent to jail. While they are in jail they should be required to get an education. These people are ignorant and uneducated to say the least. The U.S. society failed these people in teaching them right from wrong and educating them in basic history and science. I hope the community pulls together and turns them in, the little girl too needs to be evaluated by social services for a home assessment and if in an unfit home sent to live with a more responsible fit adult.
