I was dumped after a four year relationship and a joint mortgage and the reasons given were “I’ve been unhappy for three weeks”, and “I think you will be happier with someone else.” I’m giving her time and space, but she is perceiving me as controlling because I’m refusing to take my name off the mortgage before we seek counselling.

In my case my ex husband wanted a separation. I was willing to give him space but when I found out about the infidelity I decided to divorce him.

Ive spent the last 3 months making drastic changes, im now by her words “the perfect man, why couldn’t you do This 2 years ago.” And she is still looking to move out.

I feel like you are talking to me personally. I feel like this is a check list of my life right now. My wife has a horrible opinion of me right now and she attributes bad intentions to everything I do. She accuses me of gaslighting, being angry, being manipulative. For example, she has the children in extracurricular activities so lately I've been making supper. We like to have the children in bed by 7:30 I try not to question her much about her routine because I'm trying to give her space so I never know if she's at the grocery store or at an activity with the kids. If I call her to ask what time she will be home so I can check if they've already eaten or I need to prepare supper, she gets annoyed and accuses me of being nosy and controlling. As long as she has this view of me, I see no path towards reconciliation.

Im willing to change and have changed but if she just not at all whats the point? If its just me shouldnt i have some self respect and just leave.

What about woman who have been through trauma and narcissistic relationships in past, she says the way i talk to her i dont respect her and im rude, im doing everything i can. I have been trying to understand where she is coming from, sometimes im quick whitted and sarcastic. I just cant see where shes coming from i ask for examples she cant really give any
