Didn't the CMP threaten to stop giving away Garands because people would immediately sell them for unreasonable prices?
  • “$5000 for my sporterized mosin sonny, I know what I got” you got dementia gramps, that’s for sure.
  • @RStewart7244
It’s not just gunbroker. I’ve been to multiple gun shows where the same old timers sit with old model 70 and mode 700 and want upwards of $3000 for them. Yes they’re cool and nostalgic but they were used regularly and are in no way *mint*. People are just crazy with what they want for guns

I don't know how anyone can think that the M1 Garand is rare. Do they have any idea how fucking massive the US military is? We were making Garands even into Korea, and it was the standard service rifle. It was produced in the millions, and a huge portion of them stayed stateside and were never fired in anger

I was in a gun store not too long ago and while I was waiting for my background to clear some old dude came in with what looked like an armalite ar18 and said he wanted 20k for it. My brother asked me about it and I had to explain to him what a fudd is.
  • My favorite are the people who put tons of stuff in the listing to get you to look at it. Hm I’m gonna look for a 1903 Springfield. “M1 G43 Lee Enfield 1911 P38 1903 K98 1917 enfield Arisaka” and it’s a 1911 they’re selling

My favorite are AKs. They sell Romanian parts kit builds for like 1800-2000
  • @Real11BangBang
As an AK guy, I like the fact that a certain company we will not mention imported a bunch of type 68 North Korean AK parts kits and they're selling them for about $700 a piece. People are buying them and listing them on gun broker for like $3,000 It's disgusting
  • Something even worse than gun broker is arms list. Even when you post something and say NO TRADES people have the audacity to offer you a M&P15 sport for your Uzi Model B.
  • Used to know a guy that would buy new LeMat clones, strip the bluing, soak them in wet coffee grounds for 2 weeks then put them on Gunbroker for 16-20k claiming they were originals

My Dad got an M1 Garand secondhand for $800 locally. The wood furniture was refurbished but everything else was just in great condition and manufactured in 1944.

This isn't just mil surps. It's all guns. There are people asking 650 to 800 for used Glock 19s. It's a 459 to 500 dollar gun brand new. 400 used. 300 if used heavily. I miss buying used gen 1 and gen 2 blocks for 150 to 200. Sure you needed to swap the springs, maybe a barrel... But they ran. Those same guns are deemed collectible and are now 1k in my area.
  • @masterroshi8976
People on GunBroker are buying old junk Ruger 10/22s putting the nomad stock on it to make it look like the g36 and selling them for $500+
  • I had a guy refuse to sell a Norinco SKS (fairly beat up as well) for less than $500. Passed on that.
  • Lol "ARSENAL RARE! SLR-104FR NEW IN BOX 5000$, NOT AR M1, WASR,GLOCK,"
  • @Cessna_Gang
It makes me pretty sad, because I don't have many actual gun stores in my area, and any that are near are pretty cleared still, so Gunbroker is really my only option for a while and pretty much anything I look at gets gouged out real bad.
  • @wardengage4173
Look at ak74's That shit is even worse. I saw a 74 covered in zenitco with an xps2 for $7,000.
  • @hk_4014
Dude make this a series. This is a gripe that everyone has and it will DEFINITELY bring more traffic to your channel.
