Building The Perfect Art Studio And How Much I Paid For It

I needed to soundproof my massage therapy studio so I contacted a company in Erie, PA to purchase their wall foam. But the sales person gave me a money saving tip that I've used for 20 years. He said to look at the opening around your door when it's closed; if you see light, then sound can come in also. Place weatherstripping and a door sweep and you're good to go. Really deadens the sound.

From day one, you have been my teacher. I went from learning what a Princeton Dagger could do, to how to use Golden Open, to painting complex landscapes, all with two teachers: My mom when I was a kid, and you since I was 65. I’m 77 now, my last painting sold for 3K. I don’t make that regularly but it happened. I love painting and acrylics is what I staid with due to air quality in my stuffy studio. You have motivated me to renovate but I have to go slow, getting old. IT IS TRUE THAT YOU ALONE MOVED ME FROM AN INVALID UNABLE TO DO MUCH INTO A FULL FUNCTIONING PAINTER. I will have a website in this year and will show you. I praise you for such dedicated work, such craftsmanship and skill in building. I love the easel, the palette desk, and the long table. Hello Chuck. You went to great lengths to make your room cater to your needs and you did an amazing job. Clean, tidy, and structured. I hope it helps you to enjoy it more. I transformed my 2nd bedroom into a bedroom/study. I still have some shelving to put on the walls. So I know how important it is to feel content and inspired. Chuck, I love what you did with your room. I’ve been thinking about redoing my art space and you’ve given me a lot of really great ideas. I especially liked your fix for the glare on your paintings from the lighting. I also really liked how you made yourself your own box for your paintings to dry. I have a hard time with that. Thank you for all the great ideas and showing me that it’s actually financially feasible for me to be able to do that.❤
