Ending Credits of Homeworld Remastered

As a kid I always wanted to play the full Homeworld game, only had the demo. So finally finished my first play through. It holds up pretty well. The last mission I had to restart no fewer than 20 times. Each time I'd just barely lose my mothership. Finally I found the right combinations of splitting my forces, repair frigates and focus fire swapping ships when the volley will kill them.

After beating the first mad assault my forces were unstoppable.... and then it started to make me feel like the bad guy. These were the last defenders of what they have thought was their world, and here were we invaders trying to reclaim what we thought was our homeworld. I felt awful, I wanted to just talk to them and come to a peaceful end, but there was no end. In the end my capital ships was killing enemy corvettes as they ran low on supplies but in a hopeless effort tried to save their world. Game and music was top notch. Onward to Cataclysm. I heard the story was less good, but there's more story to play

  • Really wish Yes! would have thrown them a bone with the rights to “The Ladder”. The song was literally written for the credits, it feels silly that it was cut from the “remastered” edition. After everything you go through in the game, that bombastic prog rock is just way more satisfying than the angelic choir.
  • IS THAT BARBERS ADAGIO FOR STRINGS DONE BY A CHOIR?!?!?!?!?!~ HOLY GOD I mean I adore The Ladder's title track but YO Adagio for Strings is like WAY more godtier so

Homeworld is an absolutely incredible game. I still remember playing it for the first time and being utterly blown away.
