JayZ just doesn't want to have dinner with that many people, so he's trying to convince you to take the money, he's tired of eating so many dinners

Jay-Z is clearly that one NPC in an RPG that acts like he isn't the mayor of the village then sends you on a quest to find the mayor only to go back to him.

To those asking if that voiceclip was real: yes it is. While Simple may have brought the Jay-Z question to a new renaissance, he did not create it and it already had a wave of mainstream popularity about a year ago, to the point Jay-Z was asked the question in a professional interview. The voiceclip is pretty old at this point actually.

I understand that the point is to take the dinner with Jay-Z because the information you could learn from him would eventually amount to more than the 500K. However, I feel like a smart business mogul wouldn't divulge the information needed to succeed. Jay-Z is under no obligation to tell me how he made it big, especially only from 1 dinner where we are complete strangers. I think the only way he would share his secrets is over the course of several dinners, which may end up costing more than the 500K and forcing the taker of this hypothetical to use whatever they learned from Jay-Z to pay back their dinner debts

Great TED Talk from Simpleflips, truely the business mogul we all need desperately. Celebrities like Jay-Z are so powerful, they can even use the midichlorians to live up to 5000 years, but choose to live lives as long as us, because they are able to resist the temptation to live longer any human, because they spend that energy enriching the lives of themselves, friends, loved ones, and even their own bank accounts.

He tells us all we need to do is buy the music to get those tips. Genius. He makes money off of your wrong decision to take 500k. Exactly why he’s such a business genius.
