We have great talent, best generation of players. Agreed, Mexico no longer a litmus test. So yes, let’s enjoy the win and the chaos that generates south of the border with their new reality of not being the top team of concacaf. But fellows, in order to go to the next level, we need an experienced coach period. This win is all about the players.

Reyna has been looking great. Had a few great passes in the final third and got the goal in the end. Dest really impressed me with his play as well.
  • When are u going to address Berhalters terrible coaching vs Jamaica? Or does he not bare any responsibility?
  • @ZBowers
Saying Richards is not good enough is such a terrible take. He is our best CB. We need to find who will be alongside him for the World Cup
  • @wizarddragon
Seems weird to value friendship with players above having the ability to get the best out of the players. Gregg ignores what the players do best because of his ego and stubbornness. Gregg has told everyone what he values. He puts the ability to play his system above scoring goals. We should find a system that fits the player pool and not vice versa. Its a National team after all.

I'm proud of this team, proud that Berhalter was able to make it work. I took one step down from my Berhalter non-believer stand... however, I'm going to need more after that Jamaica performance. Competing well against Mexico is the expectation, looking dysfunctional against a weakened Jamaica was perplexing

I still cannot understand why John Brooks and Tim Ream aren't playing alongside one another. Chris Richards will have his moment (and should also be considered to be the backup to an injured Dest/Antonee (the alternative backups are not up to par)), but John is the missing link in the back. Please bring him back Greg.

This hurts man. Losing to the USMNT hurts it's a rivalry. it's our derby, and we Mexicans hate to lose to the USMNT. So yes, it means something, whether it is a "friendly" Nations League, Gold Cup, or the World Cup. Mexico sucks right now, but it will always be our rivalry, and it's a must-win no matter what.

If GGG helps the team to do well at the COPA America, so making the Semi-Finals, I think some of the GGG dislike will go away. Overall I think the COPA America will tell us the true current level of the US.
  • @MauriceSalvo
Very accurate statements boys! 2-0 US beats Mexico, again ^_^
  • @dirks6550
I think with Adams some of the concern with playing him was with injury since he has not been playing for his club.
  • @manhalen7046
People keep going back and forth about how important or not important this win is when we have our big tournament to show where this team is at, in 3 months, relax, pace yourselves.
  • @Mklz_96
US is currently the better team when it comes down to a match between the two, but outside of concacaf neither has bragging rights, no World Cup win or copa America. The US and Mexico are cut from the same cloth. Both sides can talk their sh*** but it’s the same story at the end of the day. Both sides celebrate how far they got in the World Cup or copa America while there are other teams celebrating how many cups they have.
  • We should try to play Copa America every time it’s played in South America.
  • Completely agree. Mexico isn’t above US but at the same time US doesn’t play well. The game was really shaky and US had terrible passes. But I can’t see US beating anyone better than Mexico. I thought it was going to be Jamaica vs Mexico in the final seeing how hard it was for US to score against Jamaica in the 90 mins.
  • @mikehunt5637
Haji Wright only got the start because of the goals he scored against Jamaica which is fair. I don't see him up top, but I think he might have a place on the left if Berhalter would pull Weah and put Puli on the right.
  • Realistically ggg safe space is nations league. He has coached this team for 5 years and has no signature wins. (Netherlands etc.)
