there will be sometime in the future, human says, "back then, gold was a precious metal." just like now, where we say, "back then, salt was precious, it even was used as currency."

Gold didn't originate in the solar system as implied. Not even in the Milky Way galaxy. That's because the stars in the Milky Way have very low amounts of heavy metals. Earth's gold may have come from a distant galaxy following a collision of neutron stars.
