Well, I watched the movie and it was just fine! I realized fairly early that I saw it years ago! Anyway, I'm 70, and movies like this are typical of my time. We didn't have (or need) any overly graphic T&A, fast-paced drama, split-screen distractions, highly graphic blood and gore up close and personal, bad language all over, etc., etc., etc. No! We just watched the movie, I guess in simpler terms than what's expected now! No disrespect to the younger crowd intended. This movie actually told a good story that made us think! So, in my opinion, view, and judgment, the movie passes muster! MBJR. 4-8-24 at 8:52 P.M. Oregon Time.

Roman Holiday starring Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck had the saddest ending of any movie 🍿 that I’ve ever seen. The look on his face as she walked away broke my heart. 💔💔💔💔💔💔

Oh boy! Even the great Gregory Peck couldn't save this pot boiler. All the same there was some terrific dialogue... propaganda dialogue of course. 8/10 for Gregory , 2/10 for the movie.

8 minutes was enough for me.

“For a woman”😡”

Good film, but don't they realise that when Peck is speaking to America, the Chinese must be listening?

I am Russian. Every Russian has seen "Mackenna's Gold." Same director - J. Lee Thompson, same star - Gregory Peck, same year - 1969. But these are two very different films. IMHO, this is not as good but watchable - and historically interesting. In 1969, a KGB agent says about the main character: "He's got plenty of khrabrost {courage, bravery)." So it was an acknowledgment that the two superpowers - despite their ideological differences - could work together against a common threat. Unfortunately, these days, Russia's usurpers of power decided to work against the West, unleash an insane and brutal war, and side with China. Horrible times, indeed! So these old movies are a palliative of sorts.

they just spoiled all credibilty in this movie when I saw Kato from the pink panther..haha

Gregory Peck one of my favorite actors. Watching him with Lee Remick in ' The Omen' was interesting!

For some reason this movie reminds me of the movie The Manchurian Candidate. 😢😢😢😢😢😢

Gee, no film in the projector! What a script!
-
I thought it was pretty good
-
A good example of politics walking into Hollywood. A rather sad film, but Peck received $500,000 plus 10% of gross to star.
-
Excellent film except for the ending. Obviously, Gregory Peck would not have been allowed to simply walk out and tell his story to the newspapers.
-
Did Peck need the money, or just bored?
-
Fantastic old times! Super actors, good movie.
-
A quite ridiculous and impossible to believe storyline.
-
I have seen a lot worse. Worth a watch!
-
This movie reminds me of Canada, a lot...
