  • "Nothing gets me hyped like high profile departures" said Andy, as Luke has departed
  • @DeadmanHopping
Sorry, this comment was supposed to be posted on the ‘unkillable bosses’ video, but it got stuck in posting hell.

Surprised Dreadwolf isn't on here. Nobody in the fandom actually believes Bioware when they say "this summer"
  • @forbiddenwar45
This is the fourth time i realized that bloodlines 2 actually isn't out yet and i was confusing it with another vampire game.

Shout out to Peter Molyneux's Godus, which was announced over a decade ago when people solved his "curiosity cube" puzzle, spent years in early access, had a spinoff "Godus Wars" released in early access while the original was still unfinished, and then both Godus and Godus Wars ended up finally being pulled from the steam store when Molyneux decided to create blockchain games instead of finish them.

The most baffling thing about the pig snorting a wasp was how LONG it was. Were we supposed to be on the edges of our seats wondering what the outcome would be?
  • @Bloodglas
"I'll believe it when I see it for sale" is the best way to deal with this stuff, and remember to follow that up with "don't pre-order".

It's worth noting, regarding Beyond Good And Evil 2 getting greenlit for a sequel... The series was Michel Ancel's passion project, and he was the one constantly pushing for more of it to be made. And he no longer works for Ubisoft, on account of suddenly and immediately retiring from the industry mere days before an article released pointing out how he had been an abusive, hard to work for tyrant in his studio. This was off the back of many noteable 'incidents' regarding Ubisoft management being brought to public attention, going right up to the top. This all happened nearly 4 years ago.

me foolishly:YES I SWEAR SILKSONG WILL EXIST EVENTUALLY WELL GET A RELEASE DATE SOON
  • @carlsiouxfalls
I hate how announcement trailers have become "staffing trailers" and result in years and years of waiting while a team is built to build a game.
  • @MrFutago87
And now I just remembered Pragmata exists, and Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, and Prince Of Persia Sand Of Time Remake, and Lost Soul Aside.
  • @teafling
Not Silksong, not Silksong, not Silksong 🤞 EDIT: goddamn it
  • @kayleyanna3164
some of these don't feel like they were announced that long ago, but then I have to remind myself that when these were announced I was a child/teenage and am now a full adult lol

Luke was meant to be in this video but it got stuck in script rewrites hell, it was originally “7 Games with definite release dates that we’re really excited about, 2020 edition”
  • Dragon Age: Dreadwolf definitely also belongs on this list! it’s been almost a decade now since the last game came out, and all we’ve had since are teaser trailers /for/ teaser trailers (there’ll be a new teaser trailer coming out in summer of 2025 but that’s all we know!) and news of high profile leadership leaving or being let go from the project. Even the trailers that have come out have been incredibly short and shown concept art rather than any gameplay or even anything cinematic. By contrast, the first 3 games came out in 2009, 2011, and 2014 in quick succession (albeit with lots of crunch).
  • @karichhoy
All aboard Andy's little hype train, "Toot toot."
  • @Galliao
Oh hey, I remember all these! I'm so excited fo- right.. the title. Now I'm sad.
  • @Accrovideogames
I'm not worried about Metroid Prime 4. Pikmin 4 was announced with no trailer and went silent for many years before it got a surprise trailer and a close release date. I actually expect MP4 to be a launch title for the Switch 2.

Wait, “Trapped in an eternally underdeveloped state”? Guys, I think I might be in development hell…
