This company is operating from Hong Kong, which is in China. The electric consumption till desired temperature is reached is about 2500-2700 watts and after the temperature is reached the electric consumption is reduced to about 250 to 300 watt which is more than what a particular model of Daikin consumes. This is similar to a normal inverter AC, with the sore point being that it is made in China. I have this AC installed at my home in Nizwa, Oman and among the 5 air-conditioners in my house, this is the worst. The other ACs made by Fujitsu(commonly referred to as General in Bharath), Hitachi and Daikin are far, far better than this. When buying an AC in Bharath make sure that you buy an AC where the compressor manufacturing plant is in Bharath for example Hitachi, Daikin (new plant), Kirloskar and Tecumseh. The other brands are Fujitsu, Toshiba and Mitsubishi. Make sure that their compressor is not made in China. Preferably, go for a unit that uses R32 as the refrigerant gas. I am editing this after 1 year, today the 1st of May 2022. I did a quick comparison of Daikin range of air conditioners, and not all models in their portfolio are efficient. In the 1 tonne capacity, two Daikin models I can recommend are FTKF35UV with 6.2 iseer (year 2022) and FTKG35 with 5 iseer (year 2022). The cost difference between the two series is huge, but if the AC is going to be used in the office FTKF will pay back the difference in electricity saved, in the 2nd year itself. If you are using it for your bedroom, the FTKG series with just 1 tonne will more than suffice. If you are buying 1.5 tonne capacity, then the only option is FTKF50UV (iseer 5.8 year 2019-2020) but which is not available easily. Other models you may skip as the newer models are not up to the mark in the 1.5 tonne range. If you intend to buy 1.8 tonnes then get the cheapest AC you can buy among the series JTKJ60, FTKR60, FTKM60, MTKM60 since the innards are all nearly the same. Choose the tonnage based on your requirement. I am not recommending just Daikin alone, but I had 2 hours of free time to compare and dissect only the Daikin range. Do remember to bargain for the copper pipe and fitment charges, including outdoor stand. Before I forget, make sure your outdoor unit is in the shade at all times, as it has a huge impact on your electricity bills. When I do get time, I shall compare other brands too. Today, is the 2nd of May 2022. Hitachi is getting lazy with their R&D. There is only one model among the plethora of models you can choose from in the Hitachi brand, that I can recommend, and unfortunately it comes with R410 refrigerant which cannot be topped up in case of a leak, unlike the R32 gas which can be incrementally topped up if there is a leak. In case of R410 gas which is multi component gas with different densities, the whole gas has to be sucked out, vacuumed, and then refilled with fresh gas even for minor leaks. The model number is RSRG512HEEAP. No other model comes close to the Daikin models I mentioned yesterday. Today is the 22nd of May 2022. In the Mitsubishi range, whether you are going for the 1.1 tonne model or the 1.7 tonne model, the only model that I can recommend is SRK18YXS2-W6 which has a broad range of rated cooling capacity in watts extending from 6900 watts to 2630 watts (this is not the power consumption). In BTU/hr the range is, 23542 to 9997. The power consumption in watts is from 1320 watts to 470 watts. This has an iseer rating of 5.7 and is recommended for bedrooms in north Bharath and small office spaces all over Bharath even during peak summer. The only possible problem, when compared to Daikin FTKF50 series, could be the very low weight of the outdoor unit, which is just 30 kilos (which could be typo in their brochure and more likely it is 40 kilos) and also the service which I hear is patchy. For bedroom use at night in southern Bharath, there is model number SRK13YXS-W6 which is nominal 1.1 tonne ac but which can extend from 0.25 tonne to 1.25 tonnes, and can be used even in the sweltering heat of Chennai for sound sleep at night. It likely will not suffice for the afternoon nap in Chennai without a ceiling fan, but can save a lot in electricity bills as it hunkers down to replicating a 0.25 tonne ac after reaching the desired cooling level, consuming just 154 watts. At peak power consumption this uses up 1056 watts. Mind you, this is all in the book and under normal circumstance it would likely consume about 400-600 watts in the southern states at night, going up to 800 watts in North Bharath during nights in peak summer. Power consumption also increases with the number of people in the room, since each normal adult outputs about as much as a 120 watt incandescent filament bulb for men and 97 watt incandescent filament bulb for women in 24 hours. Now divide that value to understand how much a human outputs during 7 hours of sleep. In the Toshiba range, there is the 1.5 tonne RAS-18PKCV2G-IN with an iseer of 5.60 Personally, if I were to purchase a 1 tonne unit for the bedroom, then it would be the Daikin FTKF35UV and for anything above 1 tonne it would be the Mitsubishi SRK18YXS2-W6, which has a max tonnage of 1.96 tonnes; but be warned service and spares are a major issue, as Mitsubishi ACs are fully built and imported from Thailand, and they are also very sensitive to voltage fluctuations, which entails buying an expensive voltage stabilizer. I have not got 2 tonne air-conditioners and above into the equation, which I shall compare on a later date.

As a matter of fact no ac is 250 watts or350 watts, actually almost all ac's consume almost same current and in normal ac the same current is taken through out running periods, while in inverter ac's after some time current is decreased which also decrease cooling effect but at this time less cooling is required. However the ac under reference will be able to work on250 or 350 warts only once or twice in whole year when the days and nights are very cold, otherwise all ac's consume almost same electric bills but you will reveal this only after purchasing this ac , therefore it is suggested that please consult a customer who has already purchased this ac. Thus you will automatically know everything.

Working at 250-300 watts when compressor is off position, mean if you want to run on 250 or 300 watts then you can use only on fan mode not on cooling mode….its working at 1600 to 2300 watts when you want cooling

Hi.. In delhi few locations nearby open waters or so have corrosion problem in AC unit and in coils due to which there is leakage of AC gas issues we used to face a lot many times.. So in GREE ABC's are there any such issue or how they handle that in this product?

Gree is an OEM brand from China. Other than their own brand name Gree, they manufacture for many big companies under different brand names.
