Outside of the outrageously dramatic and loud music, accompanied by the dramatization of scenes... This is a good true crime documentary... The narrator is sublime in his delivery of accounts detailing the murders.
  • This was really really good. I loved hearing you talk about the history then. I wish the music would have been lower in volume however. Thank you for this.

The background musis is hard to take. Other than that, this is a solid documentary

Don’t let the music put you off, this is really good.
  • Whilst I enjoy the documentary, the dramatised murders are wrong. The top hat is a myth added afterwards and the murder was more than likely strangulation as there was so little blood. Her heart wasn't beating - she was dead - when her throat was cut.

A local reporter who was writing a book about the ripper murders, in 1970s was told to meet with a local nun who was at a local convent. She told him that if the last murder , was committed first then the others would still been alive. Makes you think..?

7:13 I think this is an accurate portrayal of what Jack the Ripper would have looked like. This guy would have had to have looked and dressed perfectly normal as to not draw any sort of suspicion. I picture him on the outskirts as being soft spoken, approachable, and charismatic. He was definitely bold, but most likely knew the area, maybe even lived and/or worked in or right around whitecahpel and he had to have thought out escape routes beforehand. He knew who he was targeting and knew they’d lead him to a perfect spot to pull off a murder.

How could two men fail to notice a woman's throat slashed ear to ear! It just doesn't wash. I really do believe cross (lechmere) was the ripper. I believe he pulled her dress down and covered the neck best he could before paul got to him. He knew he couldn't run it would attract too much attention. First thing that would come to mind is pretend you found her!

The music is used as a dramatization technique.. and is appropriate as such🎶

Has it ever occurred to anyone that maybe prostitution may not have been involved. Those women could have been doing anything to make a buck including theft blackmail information selling anything. Maybe that made the wrong person mad..or one did and the rest to throw the cops suspiciously two of them were known to use the name Mary Kelley..
