In Idiocracy, the society was teetering on the edge of ruin, and the people found the smartest person and put him in charge. The people in the movie were smarter than us.
  • It seems like Mike Judge doesn’t realize just how much we cherish that movie

Office space and Idocricay are 2 movies I can watch over and over. It is a shame he doesn't make more movies, the stories he makes are so unique and relatable.

We didn't have to wait 500 years into the future to live through Idiocracy, we're living it right now

My favorite line from that movie "Water? you mean like from the toilet?" I still use that line if the situation presents itself.

This is no joke: Idiocracy was MASTERFULLY put together. The casting, the script, the acting, the visuals, the production, EVERYTHING. This compliment is not lightly said.

Judge is an icon. His perception of humanity is incredible. Idiocracy isn't a fictional comedy, it's real life sadly
  • Idiocracy is a genius-level movie. It doesn't get talked about nearly enough, but over the last year or so I've seen it popping up more and more, which is such a good thing! It's so good!

“It just feels horrible to kill grass” -Confirmed Mike Judge is Hank Hill

I was an extra for Idiocracy and it was such a fun experience! I even was able to give Mr. Judge a copy of my comic book I had self-published to him. He was an amazing man and director. Great memories! I miss Austin from time to time.

The movie we did not deserve, but it was the movie we needed. God Bless You Mike Judge for making such a fine documentary!!!

The reason he's so cautious about being proud of the movie is that the studio shit all over while it was being made. The problem in test screenings (and in the box office release) is that a lot of dumb people didn't understand the whole thing was satire, they just thought it was an extra dumb movie. That's what he means by "difficult to market."

Mike Judge should never beat himself over low-budget and this and that... The movie is a masterpiece! Couldn't done better, comedy is better & original than any contemporary comedy today and on top of that is weirdly, unexpectedly mystical and deep. You couldn't ask for more! Fantastic, top-notch entertainment!

I remember seeing Idiocracy on Showtime back in what must have been early 2007. I just remember being shocked that such a new movie was on Showtime on demand. I was the first person in my group of friends and relatives to have seen it and I was also the one who introduced it to everyone. That was the only time that I found a gem that early on and had the privilege to show it to other people that had no clue what it was. We still quote lines from it to this day, 16 years later.

This movie proved to be a documentary. It’s terrifyingly accurate. One of my all time favorites
  • I watched this movie for my first time in Iraq, then I came back to the states and realized how much he nailed it. Spend time away from modern society, when you come back you see the mass hallucination

Crocs are actually very popular here in Argentina. Doctors and people who work in the food industry use them due to the amount of hours they have to be standing, they're very comfortable and they have a long lifespan. I've had three pairs in total over the years.

I feel his pain. Idiocracy was a movie that had so potential as a premise, and it always felt like it was done with a lackluster budget. What he is saying about his test screening make sense. It was really smart and it's a universe that I would like explored more in depth
