As a new decade rolled in, Jermaine was still struggling to make a dent on the mainstream music charts. But the Jackson brother was given a crucial lifeline, the opportunity to work with the hottest producers in the industry as part of his new contract with Laface Records.

However, Michael put this opportunity in jeopardy when he stole his brother's producers to work on his own album. This infuriating Jermaine to the extend that as payback he released a scathing diss track about his superstar brother. Causing a headline grabbing scandal, as the siblings battled it out in the charts.

“I love all my brothers including Jermaine” -Michael Jackson 😅
  • @unathinkomo5858

  • @MoolahJackson
I didn’t know Jermaine was behind “The Jackson’s: American Dream”. He outdid himself with that one. I love that film.

Just read jermaines book, he says he regretted it and was in the moment full of anger because he never saw Michael after Michael became huge. They argued just like every normal brothers do, just cos they famous doesn’t mean anything

Michael is the greatest talent of the Jackson family. MJ eventually worked with Teddy Riley and created Dangerous. MJ, as a producer and songwriter, worked with Teddy and Bill Bottrell. MJ wrote and co-produced three songs by himself, without co-writers, and the other songs were co-written and co-produced by him as well. In the end it was the best decision. It's a shame for Jarmaine, but even with the best producers or songwriters, he wouldn't have achieved the same level of success as Michael or Janet Jackson. He's a good bassist and singer, but MJ and Janet were in another league. Randy Jackson, after Michael, is the most talented member of the family. He is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. It's a good thing he joined The Jacksons after Jarmaine stayed at Motown due to commitment. Together with Michael, he co-wrote the best songs.
  • Michael never attacked a fellow artist, He said it himself. Let alone His own brother

I remember reading in Jermaine's book 📚 He raised his voice at Michael and slammed his palm on the table. That got Michael shook! 😅

Coming from someone who didn't get to see all this unfold (born in 1994) and didn't get into MJ until he passed (I was very sheltered)... unbiased, I can understand Jermaine, really I can. Being the bro of someone who is almost as popular as Jesus or Mohammad is not easy. And I wish Mike had more positive reinforcement (not taking plastic surgery, being told he's fine the way he is etc). I can also understand Michael. Finally being free to do what he wants after a strict unbringing and loss of childhood. So... it's tough. I really do wish Jermiane was more successful in the 90s, he's very talented. All I can say is I'm glad the Jacksons reunited one last time in 2001 before Mike passed away in 2009.

It wasn't just Micheal that was upset with the diss track, apparently some members on the family like their mother Katherine that were very upset by the song as well and had Jermaine apologize for it.

I never followed Jermaine’s solo career. This is all news to me. Fascinating!

A dynasty like The Jacksons is one of a kind. Everyone tries to keep up appearances, but behind the scenes it's a different story. The diss track wasn't Jermaine's finest hour, but he owned up to it pretty well. Great video from the detail. Long live the king of pop. 🎉

I didn’t agree with Jermaine’s diss but what Michael did was also out of pocket. But no one will say that because it’s Michael. Fame and show business got in between the family and shit happens. I’m glad they talked and squashed like family and grown folks supposed to do.
  • @isaiahleaks
Ngl I’m a huge Michael fan but you gotta admit… Michael was wrong for hijacking Jermaine’s producers. I get the business can be dirty like that but to do it to your own brother is wild.. knowing he was already struggling to get a hit and a good album out around that time . I can understand Jermaine’s frustration tbh. But y’all ain’t gonna agree cause yall are die hard fans lol
  • @TheCensere
Yea Jermaine was outta Pocket for that... which is why MJ really had to do his own thing at some point. He took an L on the proceeds for Victory Tour. To preform with his bro in lieu of a "thriller" tour... which was why the "bad" tour was going to be a problem because it was an MJ only tour... why wasn't MJ able to preform in stadiums in the US? Why didn't "bad" win a SINGLE Grammy? Shout outs to the this channel to let the world understand HOW BIG MJ WAS...

Ngl Jermaine having anything to say about Mike respect level for family when he himself had kid with Randy’s wife and mother of his kids is hilarious
  • @roclee8138
I watch that Jackson's movie for ANY reason. Bored, happy, tired, mad, sad idc I watch it for any reason. " Cut them Jackson's on " 😂😂😂
  • @MIAMI4EVER231
There's actually some inaccuracies in regarding that. Michael never meant any of the cast members. That's natural at all. Actually very far from the truth, Michael met Jason Weaver. Actually, Jason Weaver has gone on record. Sing this and he also met the young man who played him as an adult. His family has confirmed this.

At the end of the day, Jermaine had a successful career, the only problem is he had two huge superstar siblings.
