The Parable of the Ten Virgins - Gary Wilkerson Podcast (w/Joshua West) - 266

Several times, the gospels portray people arriving at the gates of heaven and crying out for God only to be told that he doesn’t know them. No fate could be more shocking and grim for someone who calls themselves a Christian. In this episode, Gary Wilkerson and Joshua West discuss these sobering passages of the Bible and how they should inform believers’ lives. If we earnestly desire to be in God’s presence, we will be prepared like the wise virgins of this parable for Christ’s return.

Please pray for me that I am not this foolish virgin! That my heart will be renewed by God!

So is this like what Christ told his disciples and all of his followers, that he would be back seeking those who were filled with the Holy Spirit, the oil? And his second coming is him coming for his bride the church?

It could mean a a few things but I believe that they might not just be virgins but that they're saved and filled with the Holy Ghost waiting for the day of Christ's return. Does that make sense?
