RUGER MARK 4 TARGET PISTOL 22LR UNBOX 1st SHOTS

My first gun was a Ruger Mark I. Great shooter, but a beast to clean, so I eventually sold it. I am looking at either this Ruger or the S&W Victory to replace it.

Well, this is a case study in what NOT to do with an unboxing video. It is always smart, and generally mentioned in many gun manufactures manuals...the need to clean and lubricate the weapon when you get it.

Okay, I tend to agree a more careful inspection of the firearm upon unboxing is a good idea (read the instructions always a smart idea)...and with brand new guns cheap ammo is usually okay, although in .22 that could have been problematic (as you note, you have experienced a couple bad rounds)...we own the lite model, and the gun has been just fine...a key reason we bought a mark iv is the total ease of breakdown, push the button and start cleaning...last note, I'd shoot a few different brands/varieties of ammo before moving the sights, there might be a magic bullet...

What was accuracy out of the box?

So guys! Which one should I get??? Standard??? Hunter??? Tactical???
