They ruined car chases with over the top cringey fast and furious CGI crap
  • @uprebel5150
I grew up watching these chase scenes so the modern CGI ones always look fake too me.

Glad you included The Driver. It has some classic car chases and when he demonstrates his driving ability by destroying the Benz is an all time classic scene.

McQueen is also the King of motorcycle chases in The Great Escape.

The best part of the "Bullitt" chase is when the dude driving the Charger sees that Mustang in his rearview as it pops up.

Dirty Mary Crazy Larry is my all time favorite old school car chase movies. I was crushed at the ending
  • @sirhands65
The last scene of dirty Mary crazy Larry. Is in the opening credits of the TV show The Fall Guy. Just a piece of useless trivia but it's true.😊😊

I saw Dirty Mary & Crazy Larry when it originally came out. I had a HUGE crush on Susan George ❤❤❤😍

Interesting that Bourne in the mini cooper performed many of the same stunts that made the original "Italian Job" movie so great. Cool car, cool stunts.
  • Back in 74 my wife and I went to a drive in movie to see Dirty Larry and Crazy Mary plus Race with the Devil I owned a 72 VW bus and after the movies I told my wife I'm putting the pedal to the metal and she laughed and said it take us an hour to get to 50 miles an hour in this VW bus. When we got home we made love 💕💕😊.
  • Vanishing Point....still the best...but Im biased as I was in it (was just an extra here in Denver)

Watching this brought a tear to my eye seeing those beautiful cars being destroyed. There's not too many around and they're expensive. I can see why.
  • @TougeSolo
Dirty Mary's ending was very creative and I'm surprised it's not been duplicated. Was surprised to see the movie included in the list as many people over look it.
  • Best car video I have seen a long time. Presentation and editing are great. Most agree that "Bullitt" is the best car chase scene but I still have to stick with the original Gone In 60 Seconds chase. That one is off the charts.

Crazy Larry switches between a 68 and 69 charger. Notice the grill center bar disappear.
  • @hawkmoon419
I knew you'd have to have the Blues Brothers in there. I've read that the sequence on lower Wacker Drive was filmed at speed.
  • @chrismurphy8383
The Blues backflip was done for real? Wow, who knew. Oh, yeah - all of us. Still a great movie, mind
  • @DjNikGnashers
The Blues Brothers is (in my opinion) the best film ever made. It has everything, amazing car chases, the best music, and great comedy.

East bound and down.. I had a 79 Formula Firebird with a 455 someone put in. Best driving song ever
  • @jaimeres
Gone In 60 Seconds will always be #1 with me.
