What did they expect? Looked extremely likely the storms would be like they had warned for a week or so. Its insane to ignore the massive amounts of warnings.
  • @quonslecn7755
Who would have thought there would be poor weather in late December????
  • @Luisr777
Warnings were sent almost 2 weeks before what were ppl think 🤔
  • How could anyone be surprised by how many people are at the airport. The day after Christmas and huge storms.

The fact that they don't even mention rail travel is a testament to the underdeveloped and underutilized rail network in USA... Many international rail networks do great even in heavy snow
  • @Captain-Cosmo
It is so sad that neither the large crowds nor the terrible weather were in any way foreseeable.
  • @GV-su9ov
I am puzzled that they were surprised by delays and cancellations. Didn't they know the extreme weather conditions that will affect flights?
  • @RichAction
Don't have any pity it's literally like this every year and people still fly during this time. Doesn't make sense
  • @frankm8533
I don't travel during these holidays never have never will
  • The guy at 1:14 saying 'southwest abruptly canceled our flight without any reason' 😂😂😂 sir, look around you. Your flight was canceled for the exact same reason that literally 10s of thousands of other flights were canceled. It blows me away that anyone is even remotely surprised by their flight being canceled right n
  • Flying during busy holidays often isn't worth the hassles. November or even early December would be better time. Close to Christmas and yet less busy. For Christmas celebrations, relatives from afar can easily Zoom in. Not exactly the same, but better than be stuck in an airport. Basically, flying during off-times is less stressful and more manageable for both the traveler and airlines alike.
  • United gave me options to fly on a different day a few days before my departure. Idk if Southwest did things the same way but if they did then everyone was given ample time to change their plans and chose not to. It’s hard to blame the airlines here.
  • @TheZayzoo
Airlines should not apologize for putting safety first.
  • I mean what are the airlines supposed to do? The blizzard not only stalled flights but prevented airport personnel from being able to commute. That includes airport controllers. That’s what we get in the US for making our holiday season at the worst weather time of the year 🤷‍♀️
