Didn’t Brady say that the QBs should take some accountability for these hits?
  • A hit to the chest that makes a guy's head whip back will be flagged as a hit to the head. It doesn't matter that the head wasn't hit because at the speed of the game, it looks bad and the flag isn't picked up afterward.
  • @NickKuber-fb8pv
They need to stop complaining defensive players can’t do anything smh
  • @chrism6880
How bout we give offensive players a little accountability? QBs used to have to protect their WRs, and WRs were supposed to be aware of their surroundings.
  • All Florio does is complain about every kind of hit. This guy is an ex Lawyer he’s not a player this you should not ever call for rule changes.
  • @SunShine-xc6dh
Offensive players should just fall down upon being approached by a defender.
  • @jshah1961
These guys really don’t understand how hard it is to hit a moving player in a 12 inch area while you’re going full speed. It’s clear how bad the NBA has become due to the pro scoring rules which has led to diminishing viewership, the same thing will happen in the NFL if they make it impossible to tackle.
  • @billsfever
You can't tackle high, low or at the waist now. The NFL is gonna end up as a quasi flag football game where you can either tackle or grab the flag. The flags will be used for QB's, defenseless players and when running behind them instead of the hip drop tackle
  • @shaneknight44
Joseph’s hits are dirty as hell. How can anyone even argue this point?
  • @keith4776
If a guy goes for the hip and hits the knee, no flag. If a guy goes for the chest and contacts the helmet, it's 15 yards. Guys are not aiming for the knees, they are aiming for the hip. But it's a high speed game. You're not going to hit exactly where you want every time.

(Note: Players are prohibited from initiating contact below the waist of an opponent outside the Tight End Box, except against a runner or a player who is attempting to catch a forward or backward pass).

These hits are a quarterback problem. QBs shouldnt be throwing passes that get their teammates killed.
  • @TomatoPace
Simms getting crushed in the chest creates more risks for a damar Hamlin situation. You can play it any with any area of the body taking hits.
  • @jakemeyer8317
Every player on offense has said hit me high change the rules and allow hits high. Mike has never played football so he has no idea

195 lbs. vs 250 lbs. is one reason Kirby J. and other DBs need to go low to get the guy on the ground. Maybe players over 220 lbs shouldn’t be allowed to go downfield into passing routes. Or, like Brady said, QBs shouldn’t throw the “murder ball”, and it’s on them when they get their receivers blown up or injured. Simms, who btw has never really had to tackle anyone, knows that. And at $15M+ per year, I’d have loved that kind of downtime scratch when I was rehabbing my knee. In any case, Florio, we get it. Your Vikings should have every advantage short of all 15 teams they play next season forfeiting their games. The Lions traded Hockenson to a division rival because he wasn’t willing to do the dirty work, and is YAC was low because he went down too soon after catches.
