Seeing Minato's old design, clearly Kishimoto had planed Naruto to have the "evil father" trope.

Hidan's original appearance at 1:15 looks so badass, a god of death made of bones and wielding a scythe. I kinda wish he appeared like that in the manga and in the anime.

I'm surprised that many people mention Konan like if her previous design was any different. That's still exactly how she looks under the Akatsuki cloak. Maybe people don't know? She also has an exposed navel and four piercings in a cross around it. Kishimoto sketched how she looks in the data book or in an answer to a fan, I think. Many designs seems very similar to the final version of the character, altough there are a few ones that look fairly different.
