Just remember. Since 1927 there’s been several thousand Officers who endured the same training as you to become one of California’s Finest. I’m proud to be one them. CTC IV-99. I’m retiring Nov 2024. I’m very proud to see this tradition live on.

Not gonna lie, CHP is actually goated and they are the best US department!
  • Proud father of a son who graduated with this class. Congratulations to all who persevered👍

I’m glad to see some police academies still use stress inoculation as a training technique. Not over the top abusive stress, but appropriately applied to induce positive results. This is gonna be a great series.

As an Army vet, it makes me happy to see the CHP using many aspects of military training in their academy. They are time proven strategies to producing soldiers/officers of outstanding character accustomed to performing in highly stressful situations. Also, outstanding filming and editing. This is what we need to motivate young people to enter law enforcement. Seriously great job!

Our son just graduated. CTC IV-23. It was a tough academy, but worth every minute. Kudos to all of the training staff. Your strict training, high standards, and expectations will prepare them for the career ahead.

This first episode reminded me so much of Army Basic Training. Attitude is EVERYTHING! You can push yourself farther than you could ever have imagined if you just put your mind to it, you just have to have the right mindset. Good luck, cadets.

  • Para military. Don't go easy on them!! We need tough, honest officers in the streets.

Definitely good to see that some Academies are still run this way. If you can’t handle the stress in a safe, controlled environment then you will fall apart in the real world. I’m surprised they haven’t gone woke and softened up. Especially being in CA.
  • @DiazCom
I’ve got my physical & written the first Saturday/Sunday of March! love y’all CHP!
