Hey Gio thing to remember is cost by parts and service. My brother-in-law has told me Ford parts/service cost more. He’s always has Toyota’s.

Gio being x-military you can open a Navy Federal Account. They will finance vehicles in the Philippines. You can open a Navy Fed Account when you go to Japan. When getting a loan through a Philippine Bank if you pay the loan off early you still have to pay the interest in full. Unlike a US Loan when you pay it off early the interest can be paid off simultaneously. Good luck. Navy Federal has off-base branches in Japan. Navy Federal will also come off base, pick you up, and take you on base if they have to.

The Toyota by far is a much better vehicle. They've been known to easily run 1,000,000 miles.

Gio, stick with Toyota. Don't let the cheaper price lure you to the KIA or Ford. There are plenty of videos on the subject.

I absolutely love buying a new car and enjoy the new car smell, but the biggest depreciating asset you can buy.

Get front and rear cams installed quickly. You need protection in case of an accident.

Toyota would be most reliable, Ford would be harder to get parts for from my understanding, KIA still has a quality issues with the powertrain at least they do in the USA.

All look nice. I would think about ground clearance and suspension in the Philippines.

My son has 2008 Yaris got 321,000 miles on it still looks in good condition.

Hi Gio, Whatever car you decide to buy, please make sure of one thing: Have the oil and engine oil filter changed every 8050 km (5000 miles). You won't regret it.

Toyota the most reliable vehicles in the world. Worth the money

One of my sons had a Toyota Corolla and it always ran great but he trade it in for a more expensive car. I just bought my youngest son a Kia Forte and I must say, we both loved that car. Easy to drive and loved how compact the car is while it looks like the Kia you first saw! It is also in red. If you do decide on a small SUV, then take your time to see about having 4-wheel drive in the Philippines. Personally, my favorite is a Jeep Wrangler 2 door!

Remember that each car will come in about 3 trim levels: High Lux, Medium, Entry level. It looks like you may be sitting in an entry level KIA, and then a Lux Level Ford (leather seats?). Don't let the Dealer fool you that way. Ask them to see the similar level, even if you sit in another customers reserved car, cause most dealers only have the Hi-Lux trim levels for display.
