Bam Margera is a pop culture icon that played a major role in the lives of millions who grew up in the 90s and 2000s. Unfortunately his career didn't continue that legacy after the 2010s. This is the story of Bam Margera.

Okay but seriously, “get your wife pregnant so we can have a plot for season 2 of the show” is fucking ghoulish. His freak out over that was completely justifiable.

Crazy how SteveO was the craziest one, but end up being the most responsible one.

This is probably one of the most sincere videos covering Bam's addiction. As many other commenters and myself have experienced losing a friend before their time is so fucking hard and is a different sort of grief that's hard to explain. Thankyou for being so considerate of his addiction my heart honestly breaks for him.

The amount of insight into his whole career is astonishing! Well done!
  • As a massive contrast - seeing how well Steveo is doing (successful YouTube channel, writing books, sober, healthy), is insane in comparison to what happened with Bam. I am honestly shocked that Steveo actually lived through some of the things he did to himself

I was a vendor at a convention he was signing photos at. I was too busy to get in line to have one signed for my son but when Bam and his wife (and baby) came by my booth and purchased some things, him and my husband got to chatting about my husband's band shirt lol. My husband mentioned not getting over there in time.. he told my husband don't worry I'll come back and hook your son up.. mind you autographs were not free. Honestly as I looked and listened I questioned his sobriety even though he had just come from a stay in rehab, he just had that look. I almost didn't think he would come back just because we weren't pitching for any free stuff he fully volunteered it. He's a legit broken human on the inside but still incredibly kind and generous. Looking into Bams eyes from 4 feet away was incredibly hard not to just just start crying knowing how much pain he must be in. This might seem hard to believe but my experience with him was a person that was a gentle spoken, kind and generous man that kept his word. About 2 hours later Bam ran over to JUST our booth and handed my husband a little bundle of autographed pictures and other memorabilia and told my husband this is for your son and tell him "don't stop skating or give up on your dreams".. side note: his wife had so much love in her eyes walking with him and their daughter. I hope at some point he makes it out of that dark hole he's in. He has a heart of solid gold in there. Thats something you have to look directly into his eyes to see I'm vending right next to artist Caitlin McCarthy and across from Bit Bat Boutique 5:28 that's me (black dress/glasses) and my husband (he's in a kilt) https://youtu.be/N0CFWeWnkDw

Bam had the world on a silver platter for a long time and I think seeing life play out ( Ryan Dunns death, getting older, changes of pop culture, marital problems, etc etc) took its toll. No-one ever said no to him, to the point of it ruining his sense of self and sense of reality. I seriously wish the best for him and hope he finds a way to overcome and get sober and just enjoy his life and family.
  • Dude that was a fantastic portrayal. You got to speak about him, show him, show his woe’s…I’m really impressed by you. And you are right to say he still could get all of it back. Good for you for supporting Bam and keep up these bio’s!
  • The way Bam talks it kills me. My uncle was a raging alcoholic, he talked similar to Bam. I lost my uncle in 2019 to his addiction. We offered him so much help, places to live, and he didn't want it. He died on the streets alone. Alcohol is a horrible, horrible drug. I hope he realizes that there are fans who love him when he is sober.

Bam Margera is the perfect example of why parents need to have boundaries and impose some level of discipline on their children. No one told him no and it is reflected on his behavior within the past few years. It's really sad actually.
  • I lost my childhood best friend a couple of years ago to an OD. It was life altering. I fully understand Bam's pain as there is nothing or no one that can ever replace the void that losing a brother, that you spent almost every moment with for a decade plus, leaves. I had an awful time immediately thereafter as my desire to continue on and stay sober had completely disappeared. I pray Bam finds some solice and strength to continue on in honor of Ryan, living a life Ryan would be proud of.

I now understand what Bam felt completely. A week ago at 12:45pm, I lost my best friend in the world in a car crash. He was like a brother to me, and growing up as kids, him and I were practically inseparable.
  • The fact he reached out to Dr Phil shows his real addiction is fame Nobody would legitimately reach out to Dr Phil, he just wanted to be on tv and talk about himself
  • @YourRealDaddy
It's like a double edged sword with Bam. He was raised believing he could do anything without consequence which is probably what made him so successful. But at the same time that upbringing denied him the ability to know his limitations and when to reign it in. I hope he gets on track for his sake, and the sake of his family because he's got alotta livin' left. Good luck brother 🤙🏾

As an alcoholic/ addict currently going through a relapse after 3 years of sobriety, I feel for him. I hope he can find the help he needs 💚
  • @Ron-yz4uk
What’s sad is Bam is only 43.. can’t imagine he’ll live much longer if he continues down this path
  • @89medic
I know how Bam feels. I lost my best friend a year after we got back from Afghanistan. I spiraled for years but since 2017 I’ve had a grip on it.I hope he pulls a SteveO
  • That is indeed the problem right now, you have to Want to get better, Steve-O has said that exact thing both about himself overcoming addiction and when it comes to Bam and their many attempts to help him. The sad fact is at the end of the day, you can't help someone who doesn't want to help themselves and that goes for everything, not just addiction
