  • Our Preschool Life is GOLD! We have been using it since the new year, and my four year old son and I LOVE it! This was also reassuring to me because my son is not into writing yet. He doesn’t want to hold a marker often to try. He will draw on a whiteboard or with chalk occasionally. I am trying not to push him in this area so your words are encouraging!

It breaks my heart to see many children robbed of childhood freedom, play, & exploration. I was put in Kindergarten at 5. But it was half a day and consisted of play, crafts, snacks, and carpet time (calendar, whether, songs,). If you walk into a kindergarten today, you will find desks, very little exploration, and hours of desk work. By 3rd grade most children are burned and began to regress from all the stress and pressure. 😢

Thank you for this! There is so much pressure to do the ABCs and get children reading by Kindergarten, but I feel I am on the right track with my son. He is almost five and we often get the question of "when is he going to school? He is so smart so he is probably ready to learn from a teacher. You don't want him to fall behind." I respond with "We are homeschooling and I get to be his teacher." We do a lot of read aloud time everyday since that is what he likes to do. He loves stories, pretending, riding his bike and exploring nature. These years are really a fun time for us both. I feel I am reliving my childlike sense of wonder as we explore together :)

I have not heard of Charlotte Mason before, but I feel like I’m in the right track with raising my child 🥹
  • Thank you sooo very much for this! I was emotional watching as I knew lots about Charlotte Mason from 6yrs onwards... but I didn't realise I was, word for word, doing exactly what you have described here with my 4yr old and 2yr old. Thank you so much for explaining how this approach looks in younger ages. ❤

This came as a comfort to my heart. My oldest just started formal lessons at 7 and my 3 year old wants “school work” verses playing with his younger brother or playing with toys, coloring. Been thinking all day how to best reach his needs. Thank you for this new series. Very much helpful!
