Not to kill the mood of this song for anyone but I listen to this almost everyday because it brings back memories of me and my dad when I was younger and how he’d take us on any trip we wanted to. We lost him this year to Covid unfortunately. This was the song my sister played all the time when he was dying. Rest In Peace dad, I’m sure your making a beautiful angel but it won’t make up for the pain we hurt missing you 🫶🏻🕊

Im 22 years old. Life isn’t going as planned but there’s always a glimmer of hope. This song as well as others help me get through the day. Hard times build character but nobody can do it alone. Talk to someone if you’re struggling. I love u all and chin up.

This has to be one of the top 100 songs ever written. That gorgeous, raspy synth! The wistfulness of the piece. The many little “hooks” in the arrangement and singing. Chris Martin’s vocals. And that wonderful, ringing electric guitar of Johnny Buckland. All adds up to a true masterpiece.

When I was young, I wanted to grow up so badly, but now that I'm older I realize my childhood really was paradise. I didn't have any problems, I wasn't stressed or anything, I just had fun everyday without having to worry about work, my friends or myself. I just want to be 5 again

I was 14 when I first listened to this. Never fails to make me overwhelmed with feelings I can't recognise! Life feels unreal when I listen to this.

Its astonishing how a song can bring back so many good memories. But this song makes me sad because it brings back childhood memories. I never understood the saying "Be thankful for people you have in life" but now that im older and most of my family moves on. It just hurts knowing i uses to be super close to them. And it just seems that they're constantly busy. I wish i could be a child again i miss being young and hanging out with my siblings having good times. Have a fantastic day everyone.

When songs can truly tell a story it’s great. This song unlocks so many memories- It helps me relate to myself: “she was just a girl, who expected the world, but it flew away in her reach so she ran away in her sleep. “ “She dreamed of paradise every time she closed her eyes” The lyrics relate so much to my life ❤💫💫

This song….. I want my wedding reception to have this be the first song played… it makes me think of everybody, and everything I ❤️! This song just brings back some many amazing things..

i have a story. "when she was just a girl, she expected the world, but it flew away from her reach, so she ran away in her sleep, and dreamed of paradise everytime she closed her eyes" when i was 4 years old, my mom passed away. when i was 12, my dad got into an car accident and stopped walking. since then i've been taking care of him, and of my little brother. I'm 19, just working to pay the bills, but my biggest dream is to go to europe. i don't have the money, because i have to pay the bills, and i can't leave my dad alone here in brazil. but i have a dream, and i know I'm gonna make it. i just need time. pray for me, guys. im all alone :/ edit:update! my dad passed away in may 2023. now my little brother doesn't live with me anymore, but we still talk sometimes. i've never been so alone, poor, and hopeless, but I'm sure things are going to work out for me, one day... ):

Bands like coldplay have some of the best songs that cannot escape your head once you hear them.

I can’t believe how relevant this is. I’ve been listening to coldplay since I was a teen but it is now that i can related more than ever. Life really has gotten heavy and every night i really do close my eyes and think of all the possibilities, even the things that seem unreachable:’)

listening to this song post-concert makes for such a different experience, it’s unreal. transports me right back to one of the best nights of my life.
