Grey doors with silver finishes even the bar that it sits on. Are a brown door with black finishes would look great also.

Hello, it depends on the colors you're doing in the living room area because as u said it's an open area. So I would want to combine all the areas as far as walking into the L.R then as walking into the kitchen you'll see the barn doors as u are entering the kitchen as u said your stools r the same color S the doors. So I'd keep the grey on doors if your are making colors in L.R with the grey as well .
