This film totally downplays the crimes committed and presents these guys as victims.

I'm a kiwi,if you wish to live in aussie then abide by there rules simple

"Just gave her a backhander".That's right mate, minimise your actions. I think your wife is better off without you.

As a Kiwi living in Hawaii I don't see a deportation issue. If you break the law, you pay the price. Australia doesn't hv to abide by anyone else's rules. It's called the right of sovereignty. The Anzac pact is fragile and non-binding and, as such, should not be held up as some kind of privileged protection. Canada and the USA, while sharing the friendliest border respect each other's sovereignty! E tu e hoa me te kaha me te pono!

You have no idea how many people in the world would be grateful for a chance to start over in New Zealand.

All countries should adopt the Australian method

I have absolutely no sympathy for these guys. You are an adult. The decisions you make have ramifications and you have to live with those ramifications. These people would be offenders no matter the country they live in. You have never had the respect or commitment to take up Australian citizenship so you aren’t an Australian, you are a guest in someone else’s country and you have a moral and legal obligation to follow the law and social norms of the society you live in. These people aren’t minor offenders. They are all guilty of or have links to serious offending or are of bad character. There are plenty of other countries who deport their undesirables, we (NZ) should do the same !!!!!! The media coverage and pushing the agenda of deportation of non-Australian citizens is nothing more than a media and leftwing beat-up.

I've spoken with Kiwis on this and they generally agree that they don't want them, either.

Moral of story......if you've been in Australia for 4 years or more and want to stay because you consider it your home, get your citizenship.

I notice his partner didn't go over to be with him. Maybe putting her in hospital gave her a different opinion of the tough man.
  • @mikefurst4166
Why feel sorry for him, he beat a woman who was relying on him, sent her to hospital, he brought it on himself. Feel sorry for the wife and kids who are the losers in the whole mess.
  • @fionatanzer5270
I'm finding it EXTREMELY difficult to feel sorry for any of these deportees. They are involved in gangs, drugs and violence. They are not innocent victims.
  • @windyboy78
Good on Aussie! If only the NZ govt had the same views. I wonder how many Kiwis living in Aussie are thinking twice now about breaking the law! Sounds like a great deterent to me!
  • @mikefly562
He got in trouble for a domestic violence case...him being deported back to his home country seems reasonable. If he was still allowed to live in Australia, it would just cause more stress on his victims, as they would always live in fear. I really don't feel sorry for him, I'm sure he'll manage himself fine in NZ.
  • "We got into an argument and I backhanded her... put her in the hospital, yeah." Does anyone here believe that was his first or only violent attack on his wife or other women? Austrailia was right to give him the boot.
  • He broke the law and he's scared!! I'm sure his partner was scared when he beat the crap out of her.
  • @non-ya5003
Whole truth and nothing but the truth, "DON'T DO DUMB SHIT" simple
  • @FazeFalcon
"Everyone is Australian except you because Australia said get the hell out." Not true. He had 20 years to become Australian, but didn't. It was and is HIS CHOICE. I don't like Australia's policy, but this guy is in this pickle by his own doing.
