The transition from running to floating is pure cinematic brilliance 🤌🏽
  • @DerHerrMitR
Greatest sequel of all times. Watched it 5 times in the theater, just downloaded it in UHD.
  • Dune and Dune part 2 are cinematic history. Watching these masterpieces in the cinema were moments I will treasure for the rest of my life
  • I’d argue this is probably one of if not the best intro to a science fiction film ever bar none. Establishes new and existing characters, catches up audiences with the events if pt1, strong colors and atmosphere, cinematography far more beautiful than any sci-fi film gets besides Denis’s other films. This film set a new standard for what we expect from films of this caliber. A new generations Lord of the Rings.

And the emperor said... "I got a fever! And the only prescription, is more spice!"

Greatest sci fi film ever made. Watched it three times in cinema. A cathartic experience

4:26 this felt so alien and arthousey that I just sank in my chair and realised I wasn't there anymore. I was in Arrakis.

“This world is beyond… cruelty” is just one of the most signature lines of this movie; absolutely phenomenal script

Dune Part Two might be the greatest sequel ever made. Love it so much. Proud this amazing film exists.

Really wish they would release Dune 1&2 in the original IMAX format. Watching it like this is painful.
  • I’m so happy it opened with Princess Irulan narrating. She’s the de-facto narrator of the first book. Something about it sounds like a medieval chronicle.

3:00 insane opening sequence crafted by a master, every shot, every sound, absolutely no mistake, from Paul waking up paning to Chani, footsteps on sand, sign language, Stilgar whistle, subtle eerie sound. Seeing this on imax felt like I was laying right there on the sand, music was used sparingly, whole move is a masterclass
  • Once every 10-20 years Hollywood makes a film that can only be truly enjoyed on the big screen, Im so sad this film can ONLY be watched in a movie theater. No home sound system and screen will EVER replicate the stunning visuals, sounds and physically shaking my bones at times.... What an experience i will never forget! For all your faults WB executives thank you for making this gem of a film and letting the Director make the film on his way on his time frame and not rushing it.

I got chills when Baron Vladimir Harkonnen passed in front of the Sun

One of the best films ever made. Possibly the best. Certainly my favourite.
  • @uniguy2126
Easily the best movie of the decade. I saw this movie in IMAX twice and it was 100% worth it. Can’t wait for Part Three.
