The problem with Bret was that he was an honorable guy living in a dishonorable environment.. and he expected the fans, the machine, and his colleagues to be honorable most of the time

I love his honesty. No bullshit. People call him bitter but I just love how open and honest he with with his thoughts and feelings. Very refreshing.

Got to meet him 3 years ago. I had to tell him thank you & your family for all the great wrestling memories. He replied by saying, "Thank you for watching"
  • Damn, hearing The Hitman talk about his stroke, his concussion, all of the medical and health trouble he's had it pains me. Bret Hart was a hero of mine as a kid. Man still is, and I'm 39. Literally one of the greatest and most underrated athletes of all time. He deserves far more respect.

For anyone who wants to blame Bret for his WCW run failing, let me remind you of the fact that WCW even managed to fuck up Randy Savage.
  • @chenault15
This man is the reason why being loyal to a company is pointless
  • When people called him bitter & angry, even roasting Bret over it, I always asked myself: how can you possibly blame someone being bitter after losing (almost) everything the person loved? Not just liked but loved? It never got into my brain how even other wrestlers and officials or even fans were roasting Bret over it. Bret Hart lost SO many things he loved from the bottom of his heart, from Owen to Wrestling to everything than went with it, and people laughed about him being bitter all these years. My perception of Bret Hart is nothing but having absolute respect for him. He burried hatches with Shawn and Vince McMahon and behaved so superior despite all these bad things that happened to him, only to finally find peace for himself. That's ... that's just wow! So much respect for that! He IS truly one of the 10 greatest and best wrestlers to ever step a foot into a ring and, I guess, a great person in life!

You can call Bret bitter all you want, without putting yourself in his shoes. What he went through is a heavy burden to carry.
  • It's sad to see the guy who gave everything to wrestling and got back nothing back from the industry except pain & tragedy.💔

For what is worth, Bret you’ll always be “The Hit Man” to myself and many others. I think you deserve more for your contribution to the world of wrestling.

The pain is so very visible in Brett's eyes. You will always be one of the GOATS Brett, never for one second forget that fact.

montreal screw job , brothers wrongful death , concussion , davey boys , jim, his brothers smith and owen , nephew and friends deaths , his mother dying , A stroke, cancer and then his fathers death … this guy is a tough , he’s a survivor .. a role model
  • I was born in 82. Saw bret at Wembley 90. Thought he would never get old. We both got old.
  • He seems like an honorable guy with principles and if you were his friend, you can trust him. It’s too bad that he never seems happy. I wish him peace and happiness.
  • @etienne1313
you can tell that this man loved wrestling, but the business chewed him and spat him out a broken man. I feel so bad for Bret. Such a legend, doesn't deserve this.
  • @MS-it9vv
Bret was on top of the profession he loved, then got cheated, went to a new company, got crappy creative to work with, lost his brother, then got his career ended by a careless monster, lost his wife, lost the use of his left side... Anyone who thinks he’s just sour or bitter, ask yourself if you could hold up even half as well as Bret has.
  • @IAmAHeater
Considering all the loss that Bret has endured with losing his loved ones and his career being cut short, its incredible how he is able to cope with his situation when many others most likely wouldn't.
