@Klaus1386 Polish cavalry were equipped with 37mm cannon and antitank rifles. The 37mm cannon was the same as that on the pZ III, or the US light tanks M-2, M-3, M-4, or turret of medium M-3 and Heavy M-6.

@DonMeaker Infantry is countered by cavalry.. its been that way for centuries, the infantry held back while mechanized units rolled forward to decimate the antiquated polish horsemen, whats mythical about that?
  • @Husars
    French tank can fly! Incredible!1
  • @DonMeaker
@Klaus1386 The Cavalry held back behind cover, until the tanks passed, then attacked german infantry. One fellow had to push by a german tank, and was caught on film. but his unit's mission was the infantry, which suffered heavy losses, then ran. Cavalry is effective against infantry outside of fortifications, unless infantry is in squares. Infantry in squares is vulnerable to artillery. German armor was rare, expensive, slow compared to Hussars.

I sont think just should make fun of that tank... "Husars" it is not funny.

@Klaus1386 Sorry, you are falling for Nazi propaganda. They didn't want others exploiting the vulnerability of their units to cavalry, so they dragged the camera people to the few Polish hussar casualties, and as propaganda mocked the concept of mobile cavalry attacks. The truth was the German infantry attacking were vulnerable to the Polish cavalry, and would no longer advance when the Hussars were reported by scouts. Russian cossack cavalry were also effective, and fought on both sides

it is a propaganda film shot by the Germans after the armistice with tanks stuffed with explosives (besides they perceive so fleeting figure of a typical German turret on a tank).
  • @ekillus
You know, french tanks of WW2 had 6 gears - 5 backward and 1 forward (just in case enemy attack from behind :) )
