The DeLorean DMC-12 is one of the things that has become a cultural icon, famous not only due to it's movie roles, but also the crazy events that occurred with the company and founder. In this video we look past that and just experience the DeLorean as a sports car from the 80s. A review of the DeLorean just as a car, which in itself is quite a unique experience. A rear-engined sports car with a body of stainless steel, gullwing doors and plenty of other quirks and oddities, the DeLorean is unlike the cars I usually spend time with. This one has been fairly extensively modified in a unique way, with a gated manual transmission swapped in (Replacing the stock 3 speed automatic), Porsche sourced independent throttle botties, new seats, steering wheel, brake booster, suspension and much more! Just seen a whole documentary on John Delorean. Built in Ireland. Quality issues but employees said he was fantastic to work for. John lost everything and including his family. He had a vision though. Good video guys

I can’t yet get a Delorean but it’s cool to hear an engineer is designing parts that I can use when I eventually get one. This Delorean is a perfect example of my dream Delorean.

$5000 for a delorean! That's crazy! Wish i could get one for that. They're worth like $60,000 these days.

They made around 9,000 but there's probably less than 6,000 on the road today. His car is definitely worth over 50k as is. You can buy an ok working one for around 26-30k, but be prepared to spend and extra 2-5k to get all the kinks worked out.

That Intake setup is beautiful! Definitely something I didn’t expect to see. As a child of the 80’s I absolutely love these cars. They never fail to turn my head.

Gentlemen, this was an outstanding conversation about a fantastic vehicle! Eddie, it is the classic dream car that still makes me stare at it and react emotionally. Great to see you respected it enough to put all your knowledge and love into it. I was in my early 30's when it came out, and was so disappointed about all the kinks & strikes against it. I see you showed the name of the Italian designer "Giugiaro"-who pulled together Delorean's ideas. I hope you have this glorious car for years to come, and show it to others who are as nostalgic about it as I am, or to younger car lovers who can learn about it. Incredible so many of us appreciate it after all these years! Thank you!

Those doors can be adjusted to close perfectly. Ya just have to do the internet research on how to do it. My buddy owns an early gas flap hood version and he fixed his doors.

since I was a small child I always wanted to own a DeLorean I'm from Europe tho and I cant seem to find people that would sell it to me for a good price. I would go to America to get on and for real this car deserves it, in 3-4 years I will get one and make it my dream car.
