I’m glad we agree that this went from “What the fuck am I watching ew ew holy shit this is- what?!” to an odd sense of familiarity and almost security. I got excited when I saw Dogtooth again, whereas when I first saw him I was borderline terrified. These videos, despite being uncanny and disturbing, are also so peaceful.

Honestly, I’m glad I discovered this series when I did (I’ll admit, I discovered it through Film Theory). I lost someone very dear to me recently, and I watched that video expecting to be scared shitless, to be distracted and have a flux of feelings to kind of scar myself over with. But this… this is more. It’s not frightening, it’s soothing. It’s not angering, it’s comforting. It’s not just an analog horror, it’s more compelling, and it speaks to me somehow. As someone with depression and anxiety, I relate. As someone who’s recently experienced a loss, I’m taken in. And as an artist, I’m inspired. Thank you for what you do. You have been a comfort for me, and your work inspires me to draw more. It has been one of the few saving graces I’ve had over the past couple days, and I don’t believe I can thank you enough.

Every time another video comes out, I'm reminded that even if I think I've placed something together, I haven't, I really really love the entirety of the project, and instead of being in terror like I was the first time I saw an _Boisvert video, I feel it's not supposed to be terrifying (to an extent), rather that it just seems misunderstood The first time I saw one of these videos, I didn't want to stare at the eyes, or hear the voice of the triangle headed guy (if they have names I don't know them), but now, I understand what it says, and I understand what it might be, and yet I'm still oblivious to all of it simultaneously

Every video you make is a testament of beauty. Ok, theory time. From what I could garner here, Dogtooth is fighting The Angel, and said Angel is furious at how determined Dogtooth is- "You will stop at nothing". Before the Angel's "true self" [the white horse head, knives encircling] can kill Dogtooth, Covenant [I think that's his name?] saves him, takes him to a sort of pocket dimension. The subtitles speak for him, in American Sign Language, ASL. "You. More than. Story. Careful." So... Dogtooth is more than just a plot point, he is something important, something vital. And he needs to be careful... because the Angel's gonna try and kill him. That's just my take on it. No idea what the reverse audio is singing. [As for the description "Is it really so hard to believe?", I'm not sure what that means. I wonder who is speaking it.] I cannot overstate the raw majesty of the surreal art of _Boisvert. All my life I've searched for something that broke the mould. _Boisvert didn't just break the mould. He destroys it with fire from Heaven. And I Love it.

All of your characters are so bizarre and interesting in design! I'm not sure if any of them have names but it looks like the dog one with knives for teeth is your new mascot? I love your interpretation of the "Angel" and the other weird quirks of the rest of the cast. The weird ghost with the spiked collar who walks using canes for legs? The 'dog' having literal kitchen knives for teeth and can pull one out at any time. The robed white entity who's face is covered with an origami mask. All these characters are just so... unique.
