This is the sort of home I love seeing because it's simply impossible to replicate. The history, the art, the grounds, the lifetimes it takes to build up a castle like this, it requires so much more than money. You can't hire a firm to make this. This isn't the next mega mansion made of glass. I love it

As an architect I can say the scale of work that went into this is unimaginably insane. Everything is a masterpiece
  • @Ouisus
As a history buff, it almost makes you want to cry how beautiful this was created, the authenticity is beautiful, to have even one of those artifacts just insane. I am happy that a man of commitment to truth is the owner

The grotto is used for "Eyes Wide Shut" parties.

I think there's nothing even close to this anywhere on Earth. It's not luxury or monumentality alone, but an extremely dense accumulation of art, history and beauty, all organized in an absolutely, incredibly masterful way. Mr. García is a wonderful madman. What an incredible display of talent.

as a builder i would like to thank all the ancestors who built and repaired this home and garden for a daunting 400 years the immense detail cannot be overlooked nor fathomed , congratulations to the man who owns this masterpiece

This is the perfect set for the next BOND movie. The villain definitely lives here. I can see it already. What a property!!!!

That staircase at 28:00 is a servant’s passage. They were purposely built to be out of the main public spaces and were not designed for the workers’ comfort, hence the odd corners and narrow staircase. Real estate commentary is useful, but a home like this really could’ve benefited more by providing greater context on its historical background.

This is not a house at all, but a museum! This video took two days to shoot. It’s really hard to imagine how long it would take to recreate the same museum! It feels like I couldn’t finish the visit even if I stayed there for a week! Thank you very much for introducing, what a great job! 👍🥰🙏

You could fill a whole account with videos just with this property. It’s stunningly beautiful and detailed . I would love to spend a week there

I am very pleased that he turned down a private offer and decided to make it public. No one person needs that massive space to live in. He obviously came to that conclusion. By offering it for rent, and probably various other things, the money generated, can continue the upkeep and repairs or other expenses. Hopefully this can live on as a testament to history not just to France, also the other highlighted countries.❤ Bravo Maestro!!

I'm french, and the most incredible thing about this property, is even french people don't know it exists ! Thanks for this amazing discovery !
  • @smilesfordays
I’m don’t really care for the multimillion house walkthroughs besides just seeing the random things people value… but this is something else. I’d love to see someone truly do a whole documentary series and be able to tour it myself. It’s priceless and beautiful.

damn i am actually impressed by the indian palace architecture and detailings, this legit looks like some 800 year old rajasthani king's palace and especially with those old rust looking pillars and carvings around the home, the wooden slab ceilings wooooooffffffffff! that is priceless. Amazing video Erik , i never knew something like this even exists especially in any foreign country is mind blowing.

The ballroom , dining room and library were my favourite rooms and the elephant … What a fantastic museum of history … beautifully restored and preserved . 👑
  • @cas9343
I hope the owner will preserve this and pass it on to someone who has the same passion for it. This is impeccable and so deeply designed. I wouldn’t dream of living in a place so well thought out, it’s art in the most true sense

The Chateau is more than a museum! When you walked into the dining room of the chateau, I was flabbergasted because of the amount of objects. I've been to many house/castle museums, and none have been as decorated, or looked as lived-in. Many museums look like representations of an era, whereas this chateau looks like it teleported from the era. Amazing! My favourite place was the greenhouse (imagine the work that goes and has gone into those plants). So beautiful, imagine during winter.

I loved the green house. I love working with plants. We live in the Southern most part of Mississippi in the USA n last week we had a hard freeze. The majority of my plants that I grew n was getting ready to sell we had double covered with tarps n blankets froze, died. I was sick. I salvaged my night blooming cerus which still had a lot of it had been frozen. All of our aloe vera, pothus, also my mother plants i use to clip n regrow are gone. Well, maybe ill try again. But..again..this was one magnificant place. Thank you

If I ever had a house this big, I would never sit down again. And I would sleep in a different bedroom every night. Truly breathtaking.
