France: A131 Le Havre - Pont de Tancarville

Nice to see a well known region on your vids 🙂 10seconds before the beginning of this video you just missed the Oceane Stadium (home of the oldest french football team, 1872) Then, "La brèque" interchange at 0:15 was designed for a 500-600k inhabitants city (Le Havre just has 300k in urban area yet) and built by stages until the 2010s On the left the city of Harfleur was the original harbour of La Seine river end before the creation of the Havre (bys Francis the 1st, 1517 : not that old) You clearly can see on Google picture the canal towards Harfleur At 0:36 on the right of the raised bridge is a plant for Airbus planes parts (engines fixation to wings) Alter this still on the right is a major Total company raffinery (blinking in the night almost as a city by itself) At 1:38 the highway intersection A131/A29 was done with Normandy bridge in 1995 to better link Le Havre harbour with both nothern France (Amiens, Belgium, England, Netherland) and western France (Caen, Nantes, Rennes) The two pillars with spiral shape are just modern art and not drills to build Normandy bridge fundations despite a well known local legend At 2:35 on the right is Renault plant which produced R20, R25, Safrane, Velsatis, Laguna and Trafic now Around 4:20 there are many caves in visible cliffs on the left Just keep in mind that these were older boundaries of La Seine river by erosion Before "rearanged" for boats and Rouen or Le Havre, the estuary was 10km wide at this place with a wide marsh (compared with both current Tancarville and Normandy bridges lenght) At 6:40 was the original toll gate for the bridge on cliff side Before this oldest bridge on the estuary, ferries were binding sides until 1960 A131 is mostly used for the big indistrial area workers and ExxonMobil raffinery a bit further Tancarville bridge (right exit before, road goes under the bridge) At holidays a big flow of german, english, belgish or dutch cars can create huge trafic jam on A29 near Normandy bridge (way to D-day beaches or famous places as Deauville, Trouville or Le Mont Saint Michel

This reminds me of the bridge in Portugal by Figueira da foz but that have 2 bridges
