Imagine being so good at chess that whenever you lose it's an International cheating scandal
  • @VoiidAsp
Getting perfect accuracy against Magnus as black pieces made Nieman's whole day but actually beating him at the age of 19 made his hole weak.
  • I think he meant to say that he’s been caught cheating twice. He said that he only cheated once when he was 12 and once when he was 16. I find it very doubtful that the only times that he cheated, was the only two times that he was caught cheating.
  • I'm not gonna take a side. I'm just gonna say that I'm a little surprised that the 15 minute delay wasn't implemented sooner. That's a pretty standard anti-cheating method used in live events where outside knowledge could be gotten from either watching the broadcast or from someone else who is watching the broadcast. Had that already been implemented, that would pretty much destroy most theories of cheating.

I never knew anal beads are a part of chess, never played before but a great time to start.
  • within four years this guy went from a cheater to a literal irrefutable chess genius i guess?
  • 1:27 "Chess speaks for itself...now excuse me while I head to the bathroom to shit this thing out"

Niemann has a 45 move game that the engine rated at 100%. That means every move was the best move he could’ve made. Bobby Fisher never scored above 72 in any game he played.
  • Good move from the chess business entrepreneurs. This chess business needed drama, conspiracy theories, and creating rivalry to attract media coverage and public interest. Well orchestrated show and I'm confident you will succeed, you're all strategists after all. the next game between Carlson and Hans will be watched by 2billion viewers worldwide.
  • He beats the top chess player in the world and all he has to say is chess speaks for itself and walks away like he just left a crime scene

"The chess speaks for itself" "Sir this is a Wendy's drive-through, order something or leave."

Hikaru always finds a way to insert himself into drama that he's not a part of, lmfao.

You missed three important facts. Knowing that Hans has a history of cheating, Carlson played a variation of an opening HE HAD NEVER PLAYED BEFORE in his professional chess career. Aaaand somehow Hans had prepared for this the same morning. Hmm. In the post game analysis Hikaru pointed out the holes in Niemann's analysis. Nieman claimed to be an 'intuitive player' when asked about his sketchy analysis. Niemann played the same moves as the computer was recommending. Coincidence? Hmm. The delay from broadcasting should fix this type of cheating. A deep ear-piece can have someone remote calling out the moves in Niemann's ear. Unscrupulous mentalists use this method.

The fact that he couldn't even properly analyze the positions he played post game is extremely suspicious.

I love how this is creating tension ny splitting the chess community. This is like a reallife film-drama kind of thing. Very entertaining 😁

Being caught cheating twice and cheating twice are not usually the same thing and it shows an attitude of being willing to cheat rather than lose. If you are willing to cheat when there is so little to gain how much more tempting is it with so much to gain?
  • @oblobear2093
Nieman played like a computer against magnus then proceeded to play like he normally does against anyone else only getting a draw at best
  • Carlsen has a clear path forward to alleviate the scandal: Simply say "I strongly suspected Niemann of cheating, given his past, and while I may have been wrong, I retain my suspicions which of course can never be proved. Time will tell if Niemann is the virtuoso he purported in that game to be, and I just want to move forward."
  • @remained1
Damn ! Jack Harlow can't cheat like this.
  • I won’t be surprised if Hans nimann has a digital eye contact getting feedback from an engine or something
