She was an Irish country girl to the end of her days. Humble, unpretentious, normal, but troubled. I think she felt things, everything, too deeply to be in show business. That world is all about money, production, shows, and more, more, more. I think it wore her down. Depression and burnout were a common thread in all her interviews. I think she just wanted to go home and play the organ and sing in the church in Ballybricken. I'm glad she left us Linger, and Dreams, and her haunting, lovely voice for all time. But I feel guilty about it. I wish she were still with us, and I wish she were happy.

What a lovely interviewer to ask such genuine questions about her home life and her children and just enjoy her happiness outside of the glitz and falsity of stardom.

I'm so sad that I never got to see her live
  • Ela era maravilhosa! Aonde quer que esteja no universo ela ainda é maravilhosa!
  • What a wonderfull gentle, humble, and beautill woman ! Gone too soon in tragic circumstances, aged only 46. That's so unfair...
