Hi Emer what will i do if 1. I cannot give the meds in once only medication? Is it right to code it? Then write the code in the time given column and affix my signature in the signature column and then write it down to the omitted doses section? 2. What if the PRN meds has no start date but the patient is in pain? i know its not valid so i cannot give it to the patient. But my question is, will i code it 6 and write it on the omitted dose since it is due? or will i not code it and just explain what i will do next. Thank you in advance!
  • Sir, for the omitted drugs po.. verify ko lang po if drugs coded 10 lang po ba ang ilalagay sa likod? how about po other drugs not given with different codes po? Thank u po.

In antibiotics, if the culture is not sent, should we still give it?
  • Hi Diego so a friend had her osce exam and was given cocodamol 30/500 as the dose to be administered and the medication she had at hand was also 30/500 but when her results came it stated that she made a drug error as she gave just one tablet which makes it an under dose though the patient’s weight was more than 50 kg. Can you please clear that for me as when I read the BNF the patient can take either one or two tablets or was she suppose to code the medication as it was a bit lower for the patient in respect with the weight Thanks
  • HI!! I was wondering if you had any videos going over medications likely to come up in the OSCE exam with more detailed overviews. Also ps: I’ve been watching your videos to study for my osce they’re so helpful!
  • Please what if paracetamol is on the stat dose and you have already given and co-codamol is also prescribed as a regular medication are we going to give the cocodamol

Emer hi! Any comment please for the last column, what if no tick for “pharmacy checked” and notes says amended. What does that mean? We have our exam on 8th and we’re confused. We searched your video right away to check for your ideas.
