I must commend you on explaining all your processes. I am retired as a welder from the Union Pacific R.R. bridge construction department. For 40 years my brother and i were like the swat team when they had a bridge emergency. Nice to see a fellow welder that takes pride in the work you do. Excellent Job.

Greg, love your explanations of how/why things fail and the engineering behind improving it. The welding isn't bad either. 🤣 Thanks for bringing us along!
-
And yet another fine job fixing the endless supply of broken earth movers...
-
Some issue could be the fact it's a D9 blade on a D10. Very easy to tell with the cushion blades, twin cushions are D9, tripple cushions D10 and 4 cushions D11.
-
Greg, your work is second to none! Please keep the videos coming.

Another “Better than when new”repair! Greg, once again I am impressed with your knowledge and skill level! Wonderful video, so keep ‘em coming!

Great video, really appreciate specs on wire and gas; Kurtis at Cutting Edge Engineering does this too and I think it makes a difference to those of us interested in improving our own skills ( I’m a farmer and tend to weld “accordingly” 😂)

Dropping the 3/4” upgrades on a mighty D10. Good discussion of the mode of failure and the prescribed fixes. I’m learning a lot!
-
Another master class.Thx fer giving us some engineering and welding repair.Makes understanding what is happening easier to grasp!
-
Greg, I would gladly pay to see your heavy equipment antics on the big screen of any movie theater! 🤣😎🤙🏼. THANK YOU for sharing your experiences with us! Great content, and completely educational and entertaining for me!

Didn’t know there was a spring dampened blade for pushing earth movers on those dozers. Great video and once again thank you sharing with us!

Was literally just watching a vid on someone doin maintenance and repairs on an old D3 when this popped. Yeesss!!
-
I dont weld or work with big equipment, but I do enjoy watching a craftsman at his trade. you're gifted at what you do
-
It has been a long time since I work on a cushen blade. I remember back in the day, replacing big giant rubber blocks mounted between the bump stops. That kept the blade from bottoming out on the spring rods. The style of the blade looks the same, but maybe things have changed. Great job on the repair, looks like they'll rip the floors out of the scapers before they tear up that repair!!!

I love watching the big boy equipment getting fixed. Good filming.
-
Can't imagine how long it would have taken to grind bevels in 3/4 inch steel plates. You definitely made the right choice with a cutting torch.
-
I just finished watching D8 dozer blade repair by Cutting Edge engineer and now this one
-
It warms my heart to know that I'm not the only one that uses a forklift as a work bench 😊

Awake and dealing with aftermath of a microburst storm when some heavy weld repair appears. Just what I needed to settle me down - creative problem solving and sparks!

I'm glad I watched this three weeks ago! My Moose 50" snow plow had to be repaired like this, welding the 3/16 doubler on today. I boxed in the chinzy angle and reinforced the whole mess.
