Why Francis Chan Left His Megachurch

I love this. Megachurches tend to get so commercialized and the pastor is like a celebrity. Omg the gang analogy was powerful

YES!!! I want to be a part of a church where they WANT to use my gifts instead of it being a popularity contest and seeing being friends with the right people in order to be able to be used.

I believe people in Christ even non christians can agree with Francis that church is not suppose to be like it is today but more personal and alive

Wow! i never thought i would hear a church leader say anything like this...this guy is advocating the true church.

Sounds like Jesus got a hold of this guy and said, time to get back to MY idea for my sheep.

The small gathering of believers is the true nature of church.

This is exactly what I just wrote down in my note book. I lost my job because I had an 7year old charge on my background. Once I became born again I started working at my church after 5 weeks my fingerprint came back from a misdemeanor charge and they let me go. The whole entire church know about it gossip about but no one approached me to offer me to work at any of there companies..meanwhile I am the topic of all they conversations. No love no unity. Only jealousy envy and discord. I also have a prophetic gift and I continue to walk in the anointing of the holy spirit. I'm currently writing my 2nd book and I open up about how the church is acting more like the world everyday.

Finally somebody in the "megachurch" world gets it! Thank God and Hallelujah! I left the "church building" because they spent more time begging for project money for add ons than giving to the people of our community and missions work. Praise GOD! somebody gets it.

I no longer attend church because i cannot find a church that acts like a family. Im still close to the Lord but really desire to find a church like you are describing. This is vital especially to middle aged women like myself who dont have husband's and no family support system. We look to the church for help and just isnt there, this is truly heartbreaking. Thank you for speaking truth on this.

I’m really being challenged to think differently... Now more so POST COVID-19 CHURCH will be a different experience... I hope more of us catch on....

And all the mega church pastors starting shaking in their boots...then they got angry at him because he's talking truth

I absolutely love his response. When you grow deeper in God all you want to do is to live in for him. This is a picture of not conforming to the world but transformation to Christ

This should be the cry of each child of God : that the church gets to this place of absolute communion with each other
