About Young Sheldon:
It’s 1989 and 9-year-old Sheldon Cooper has skipped four grades to start high school along with his less-intellectual older brother. As he struggles to be understood by his family, classmates and neighbors, his mother arms him with the best tool she can come up with: reminding bullies his dad is the football coach and his brother is on the team. His twin sister doesn’t share his exceptional mind, but she has a much clearer vision of what life has in store for the young genius.

"The precision of the universe at least makes it logical to conclude there's a Creator" I am shocked and amazed at how tastefully done this scene is.

Sheldon convincing his Mom to beleive in God again when he didn't beleive in God really had me in tears.

"Well, there's five billion people on this planet, and you're the perfect mom for me. What are the odds of that?" I love this scene, it's sweet to see Sheldon Comfort Mary, even if he doesn't believe in God himself.
  • As a Christian I really like the realistic way they portray Mary’s faith in Young Sheldon

The “Is it me? Did I do something wrong?” Is every child’s thought when parents act out of the norm of what they know.

This is one of sweetest scenes in television history..Chuck Lorre is a freaking genius...

I love this, it's a writer perfectly bringing across the wall that every scientist runs into every once in a while, the old "The universe is a little too orderly to all just be happenstance."

Not gonna lie when Sheldon said "youre the perfect mom for me" I BAWLED my eyes out 😂
  • this scene is so sweet. Regardless of his beliefs apart from his mom’s, he could see that she was hurting and he needed to help her.

this was back then when Sheldon still thinks he could be accountable for something going wrong. He actually asked "is it me? Did I do something wrong?". What are the odds of that?

I'm an Atheist, but that still brought a tear to my eye.

The cute thing is the Sheldon doesn’t believe in God himself, but still comforts her. It’s a very important moment for him as a character
  • I was almost tearing up at the end until Sheldon says, "I don't like sharing credit"

The best written episode of this show. The fact Sheldon can scientifically postulate that a creator exists is in alignment with his character.
  • Sheldon was probably the only one who could help Mary in this moment. Because of his absolute disbelief in a god. Such a wonderfully written scene.

"Well, there's five billion people on this planet, and you're the perfect mom for me. What are the odds of that?" 😭😭😢😢
  • It's really nice that we get to see how Sheldon and Mary's relationship got to where it is in TBBT. The first time we saw her there, there were no background stories or anything. We just found out that Sheldon respects and loves her a lot. So it's really nice to see it in this show.

Sheldon trying to recreate GOD for his mother via science is the best thing he has ever done. He rly went all guns blazing, trying to comfort her.

1:06 explains enough about why Georgie has dropped out of high school and is a dad at 17. Sure his decisions have been stupid. But you keep telling a child that they’re a negative thing, don’t be surprised when they actually become that thing. I recall an early episode where Meemaw also predicts Georgie dropping out three years before he actually does. It makes one wonder how different things could have been with some more faith in all of their children and positive reinforcement.
