Our Top 10 analysis main battle tank is based on the combined score of protection mbt, firepower main battle tank, accuracy main battle tank and mobility main battle tank. None of the main battle tanks listed here have seen combat against each other during military operations yet. And even though some things, such as armor composition, are kept in high secrecy, we know a lot about these machines. Data on their protection, firing range, accuracy, capabilities of their fire control systems, and so on are widely available. So we know capabilities of each of these tanks. This analysis is based on specifications and available data.
All of the tanks mentioned here are incredibly powerful and devastating. However crew training of the tank is also an important factor, as performance of the actual main battle tanks depends from the crew performance.
This list do not contains main battle tanks that are currently under development, at the prototype stage or tanks that never reach production. The only exception here is the Russian T 14 Armata main battle tank which was produced in small numbers for testing and evaluation, but is not yet produced in quantity.

It's kind of impressive how much armored warfare has developed throughout the years. Especially during the early-mid 1940s during WW2. In 1940 the tanks crews the commander hatch with periscopes and a scope for the gunner and it usually took a few shots to get the range right. Engagements were rarely over a longer distance than 2km. 4 years later the Germans mounted rangefinders since the guns could now fire over such long distances that letting one shot fly and aim thereafter wasn't cutting it. Maximum engagement ranges for the guns had been multiplied by 10 over a span of 5 years. The experimental range finder on one of teh Panzer V Panther variants had an effective range of 20km. To take that into perspective of how far that actually is, the longest hit from a naval gun onto another naval target was scored in 1940 and 1941 by the German battlecruiser Scharnhorst and the British battleship HMS Warspite. They hit their target at approximately 26km. However they were moving targets and they were moving themselves so that greatly affects the aim.

i have been in the Greek armored division and i never really expected, how a country in such crysis can possess mostly leo 2a4 and 2a6 tanks, it was such an honor to serve in those beasts
