I am a Tibetan monk. I found this video deeply Inspiring. I saw so many thing Tibetan monks can learn from how the Thai forest monks live the holy life. I prostrate before each of these venerable monks!
  • I did this for nearly 9 Months, greatest Learning experience of My Life. every Man should do it and become a Whole Man. Full of Love and Kindness for all Living Beings and a great respect for Non Living Beings. Thank You for Sharing.

The head-shaving always cracks me up! I never realized how different people's heads and body shapes were until I joined the military. Everyone is in uniform, so all you see is the person. Being a monk has a lot of similarities to the military actually. They're fighting on the front lines for all of us, spiritually.

I am from India very close to lumbani and kushinagrar where I visited a few years back. Our country lost the values of tathagat Buddha indulges in hypocrisy with day to day suffering of inequality because of orthodox hundusim and Govt ideology. Our DNA and heart still filled with blessings & cammpasion of lord Buddha. Namo buddhya and love to all special thanks to the creator of this content.

Fantastic. Thank you. I attend a Thai Wat on the East Coast of the US (Wat Pasantidhamma), and in addition to my lifelong interest in Buddhism have now discovered that I am fascinated by ALL aspects of Thai culture! Metta!
  • I am a Cambodian monk for nearly 20s, this is the Right way for human beings esp. ❤ the Moon and Light appeared in the Mind and Breath disappears ❤ through Meditation . That's my experiences I had ! With my best regards!
  • Interesting. this schedule is slightly different than what I experienced. I stayed in Ajahn Chah monasteries and we always meditated for an hour first thing in the morning and then chanted. Then alms round after the sun came up while lay people did chores. Then a little dhamma talk before the meal then after you can speak to the Ajahn if you want. then you had to cleanup the food and stuff but after that you had basically the whole afternoon to do whatever you want. I would usually walk through the forest or go on a jog. at 6 you can have tea and allowables and at 7 you had a long dhamma talk and chanting and an hour of meditation. Sundays were different because lots of Thais would come on that day and the schedule was focused more on the meal and a single long Dhamma talk and long meditation. Then Mondays was like a lax easier day.
